Great episode last night. I loved Cheryl and Reggie coming down the stairs, backed up by the Bulldogs and River Vixens. Great scene with Archie confronting the guy that tried to attack Cheryl and Veronica. Betty's brother....one strange dude. Hope Betty hasn't created problems for herself and her parents. Loved all the high school drama mixed in with whatever scheme the Lodges have cooked up. And Mrs. Blossom......what a way to earn money, haha!

Cheryl and Reggie scene is a show of solidarity with the two groups that gave them support (Bulldogs and the River Vixens) the show by itself is a good mid-season show that really solidify Riverdale and liked the way Archie dealing with the guy that attacked Veronica and Cheryl and meant well and that alone made his friendship with both girls much better than ever. Lots of high drama and I hope Betty makes amends with her money problems and her relationship with her parents will mend itself and hope that they will get out of it soon.

Lots going on last night in Riverdale! More creepiness from Betty's brother. I wonder how this is going to work out. Will Betty become Dark Betty again? Loved the scene at the end with Mrs. Blossom and Mr. Cooper. Mr. Lodge's dislike of Archie is certainly more escalated than in the comics. No way this will turn out in a good way with the FBI and Archie spying on the Lodges. Veronica taking over the Pussycats was certainly a shock to Josie and her mom! Good to see Chuck again. My least favorite part was with Jughead, the Serpents, and the protesting.

Hiram is just a jerk & has no redeeming qualities. At least Veronica seems to rein in his horrible tendencies. Again they made Cheryl a sympathetic character & her Mom becomes more loopy. I was disappointed in Jughead's portrayal this episode. |

I really don't care for Betty's Brother at all and having said that ... he's too distributing and freaky at the same time and I just want him to go away from Riverdale! I don't like FBI/Archie spying on the Lodges and that alone and Mr. Lodge dislike of Archie is a shock to me and that bothers me a great deal and I don't like this at all. Veronica is taking over the Pussycats from Josie is a no-no in my book and that's makes me wonder what is going on with her. This is totally uncalled for and not right in my book - Right now, I like Josie more than Veronica and this makes me kind of sad about it. For the record, I'm not happy with Jughead doing the protesting thing and that's totally out of character for him in my world of Jughead and I'm very disappointed in the Producers of the Show to do this and I just don't know what to say about it. Right now ... everyone is doing bad things ... Archie is not having good relationship with the Lodges, Veronica is making Josie life miserable by taking over the Pussycats, Jughead is being un-Jughead like, and I wish Betty's brother disappear from Riverdale forever, and only characters left is Betty and if she started doing bad things then this whole show becomes a soap opera of soap opera and that's might spell the end of me watching this show. The next 2-3 shows might spell the end of me watching it and I'm very disappointed in the Producers of this show undoings ... Sorry about this report. |

I am feeling a bit let down with the direction Riverdale is going in right now. I don't like Chic Cooper. I don't like Hiram as a mobster. The characters have to some redeeming qualities to make them interesting.
Hopefully the series will balance things out some.

I am not too surprised with the direction they are going with Hiram. Did not see the ending coming though! Don't mess with Alice Cooper's kids! I really don't like who they are inserting Kevin into the main 5. When I saw them all sitting on the church pew, I was thinking that should be Reggie sitting there instead of Kevin.

The Good: Archie trying to do the right thing both with the FBI & with the Lodges. Like seeing his internal conflict. Betty & Jughead back together. Seeing FP again. Tall Boy's betrayal. Some closure with the Serpent's lawyer. Seeing the extended Lodge family.
The Bad: Chic. I really hate this character. He is so creepy. Why can't Betty & her Mom see Hal is right? Making Lodge complicit in murder. It's one thing to be a little shady in your real estate dealings but having a guy killed? Nope. The return of Dark Betty. No Cheryl this episode.
I am OK with the characters having a "bad" side as long as they have some redeeming qualities that shine thru & over ride their dark tendencies. It makes them less one dimensional & more interesting.

Planning on watching the next show to see how it's going to played out and proceed from there; and hopefully the next one after that and if the show is not going to go to a positive note - I'm staying away from that show for good.

2/7/18 episode.
I am just getting weary with this arc with it's focus on Chic & the Lodges. At least this week there were some side plots that made it a little more entertaining. Hal. Cheryl was back! Veronica & Mayor McCoy. Some "unity" between FP, Jug, Betty & Alice.

Mrs. Lodge has proven she is as formidable as her husband and I was worried for Archie towards the end. Loved the Psycho reference with Jughead, Betty, and the car. Good to see Cheryl back (i’m Getting more interested in her mother’s story than the Lodge crime family). Interesting twist with the Mayor. I liked seeing FP help Alice out. Chic is one creepy dude with his fake “I’m scared” act.
