Ok, this has been bugging me for a long time, but there are fanzine covers I'd like to post.
The rules currently state the source material being comic books, but I'm going to start a thread with a poll to discuss it, and hopefully get the rules ammended to include fanzine covers.

I would agree with that. I've never really understood what the requirement is for something to be a "comic book" anyway, since we don't traditionally use that term over here. Comics are just comics, whether they are weekly or monthly periodicals, collections of newspaper strips, graphic novels or albums or 'zines with some comics content.

Sorry, Hondo ... I just can't include (fanzines) them because I just find these material unacceptable for the Cover Contest here. My answer is No.

This is a great story to me. Even Moondragon and Thing bickering with each other. I don't remember the art being good, but not bad either. Wasn't Bingham? Either way, different things for different people. And I'd never remembered this was a Perez cover otherwise I'd probably posted it. I'm always disappointed when a favourite artist like Perez does the cover but the interior art is by someone else, no matter how good that someone else might be themselves. As it happens, I liked Jerry Bingham's style, especially when combined with Gene Day, but yes, I always feel a bit cheated when there's a cover by Perez or Steranko or whoever but another artist actually drew the book. That was like my first rude awakening getting into comics in the 90's. I hadn't read anything before that but a friend's issues of Kraven's Last Hunt which had Mike Zeck covers and interior art. I'm kind of use to it in modern comics, but in older stuff I still get disappointed a lot. Especially since the covers of the "New" defenders were the initial reason I bought them. Oh yeah, I'll agree it could have been better. I kind of saw it as the same way Thing and Johnny are in FF. But I might be not remembering it was mean-spirited in their back in forth. I know they came to blows being at each other's throats. Maybe I just glossed it over with all the other characters I liked it. I plan to read it again here this week to refresh my memory. Already got the books pulled and out.

So many awesome covers this, I could have voted for any of them. With nothing else to pick between them, I have gone with the one that has the most personal significance to me:

adamwarlock2099 gets the nod. But really, you could just throw a dart and hit a great cover this week.

Michael James.
Clean, clear and simple posing of Supes worthiness in holding the 2 mightiest Marvel weapons. True classic Superman in beaten down, torn up yet still standing and prepared to give it back in spades!!!
