As someone who grew up on and still loves Deep Forest, I'm incredibly surprised that they've never covered Toto's Africa. Seems like it would have been a perfect fit to me

There are countless covers of this Bill Withers classic. This version I recently heard for the first time is quite good.

I remember, when I first heard the Eurythmics, thinking their sound might have been influenced by this 1975 John Cale cover of Heartbreak Hotel:

Really digging that Def Leppard take on a Depeche Mode classic. Interesting fact about Def Leppard front man Joe Elliot is actually in a cover band called the Down 'n' Outz who mostly cover Mott the Hoople / Ian Hunter songs.

Interesting. I'm a huge Mott/Hunter fan and I knew that Hunter and Elliot were friends but never heard about the cover band until now.
In addition to their well known cover of Bowie's All the Young Dudes - or does that count since Bowie gave them the song before he recorded it himself? - Mott the Hoople did a really nice cover of Sweet Jane:

Really digging the recent Weezer album which is all covers and most of them are quite good. Someone had posted a song from it earlier in the thread. I'm particularly fond of their versions of "Billie Jean" and "Paranoid". Here's the complete track listing for anyone intersted.
- "Africa" originally by Toto
- "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" originally by Tears for Fears
- "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" originally by Eurythmics
- "Take On Me" originally by A-ha
- "Happy Together" originally by The Turtles
- "Paranoid" originally by Black Sabbath
- "Mr. Blue Sky" originally by Electric Light Orchestra
- "No Scrubs" originally by TLC
- "Billie Jean" originally by Michael Jackson
- "Stand by Me" originally by Ben E. King

"Back on the Chain Gang" by Morrissey. I love the original but Mozza's cover is terrific in its own right. For my money, a perfect fit.
