I made this signature to reflect my love for Batman the Movie that came out in 1966. This movie will always be Number One in my own heart because Adam West is the True Batman because of his costume speaks for itself and all others are phony because this costume reflects his Silver Age roots.Silver Age Batman Note: The word Caped Crusader is written on this picture; not Dark Knight and any other monikers ... Adam West Costume I should be done with the Movie sometimes Saturday and/or Sunday at the latest. |

Batman the Movie Continues ...After disposing the Bomb, Penguin disguised as Commodore Schmidlapp of Big Ben Distilleries made an appearance that was so startlingly and it's kind of surprised at me making himself available to be captured. After debating of what to do with him and the Caped Crusader decided to take him to the Batcave for additional testing of identification better known to us as Retina Eye Exam and that has to be done at Batman's Secret Batcave.  Because his fingerprints is useless because the Penguin beaten Batman in his own evil ways. So, Batman and Robin took the False Commodore to the Batcave to have his Retina Eye Exam to prove that he is Commodore Schmidlapp and ...  Earlier in the movie he had 5 Pirates in his own disposal ...  Here they are ... #1 to #5! Before, I start the good stuff here ... Penguin asked some water so that he can refresh himself because of the unpleasant effects of Bat Gas and Batman told him of the Drinking Water Dispenser is clearly marked for his own use so that he can get rid of it for good.  Then, he got out his test tubes of 5 Dehydrated Pirates and without knowing his cord that attached to the 5 Dehydrated Pirates accidentally went from Normal to Heavy Water and Heavy Water is being used for power up the Batmobile and also used for the Atomic Pile as well and all the sudden ...  5 Pirates appeared and one of the weirdest and strangest Bat Fight ever occurred here and anytime you touch those pirates they disappear! This doesn't bode so well for the Penguin and after a brief discussion in the Batcave about the laws of Mother Nature - the 5 Pirates are reduced to ANTI-MATTER and that means they will never come back into this Universe alone. Penguin should had been more careful ... remember earlier in the movie he said ... Robin got a lesson that he will never forget! Tampering with the laws of Mother Nature! The Penguin: Careful, careful, every one of them's got a mother.He said that word for word ... How careless he was at that point! After another whiff of Bat-Gas they took the Penguin out and way from the Batcave and gave him another dose of Bat-Gas to wake him up and all the sudden the Batmobile started to have problems and the Penguin escapes and somehow with some silliness that the Batcycle was nearby and they raced to the Airport to get to the Batcopter ...  to get to the Batcopter ...  Then, back to the Penguin's Submarine ... the Joker and the Riddler were arguing and then eventually the Riddler wins of releasing more of his skywriting missiles that causes the Batcopter to lose his gyro, tail, and other things that all the sudden they trying to recover and this moment made the three evildoers ... the Joker, the Riddler, and the catalyst of the whole affair - The Catwoman excited to see a possible end of the Dynamic Duo while observing them through the periscope inside Penguin's Submarine! Fate saved the Dynamic Duo as they landed on a pile of FOAM RUBBER IN ITS CRUDE FORM at a Foam Rubber Wholesalers Convention ...  Lucky for the Dynamic Duo!

Something InterestingAs you all know at this point of this Movie, THE CATWOMAN is the catalyst of this whole rotten scheme and she played two distinctive roles ... Miss Kitka and Catwoman and somehow - I learned that the Penguin played two roles too. The Penguin of course and Commodore Schmidlapp too. In the past, I was more focus on Miss Kitka and Catwoman being the one that did all the planning for the United Underworld and all that and watching that 5 Pirates Scene of which all the Pirates disappeared because the Penguin accidentally used the Heavy Water for it's rehydrated form played two roles in this movie. Fake Commodore Real CommodoreTwo big scenes coming up and that's coming your way and that's will close out this Movie to a Living End!

@mechagodzilla Great job on the movie reviews! Your passion for this movie comes thru with your reviews! Awesome pic of the Bat Cycle. Looking at it I can see the tires on Robin's sidecar that enables it go on its own when it splits off from the cycle. Also you have had some nice pictures of the Bat Cave.

To the United World ...and to the Security Council too ...After the Foam Rubber Convention, the Dynamic Duo ran to the Headquarters/Main Building of the United World to try in vain to stop the dastardly deeds of Four of the Deadliest Super Criminals that the world that ever seen being spearheaded by that waddling bird - The Penguin!  Robin: Holy marathon! I'm getting a stitch, Batman!
Batman: Let's hope that it's a stitch in time, Robin, that saves nine - The nine members of the United World Security Council. Come on.While, Penguin's Sub being docked at the United World Building, Joker, Riddler, and Catwoman docking ...   Lee Meriwether gave one of the best Meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! in this movie!
Using, her cat Hecate ... the cat located the right place for the plant the bomb so that the door can be open so that they can march to the Security Council to dehydrate to dust! Using a Kitty Kat into the world of crime!Penguin doing the rotten job of disabling all the guards that lead to the Security Council Chambers and did it in precision and skill of a rotten bird using the various gadgets and gas in his infamous umbrella of his. This one of my favorite parts of the movie and I had a terrible time finding pictures of it. This scene is one of the best that the producers put together!  Penguin let them in all the reminding Super Criminals ... and they start their dirty work of dehydrating nine members of the Security Council and get out of their as fast as they can.  The Joker has the honor of doing the dehydration while the Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman who planned the whole operation retrieved all the dust and place them into individual test tubes and be done with.  Their dirty deed is done!  Four of the deadliest Super Criminals ... The Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, and the Joker! After collecting all the dust ... they scrambled and out of horror they discovered that the Dynamic Duo are still alive and they haven't got rid of them yet! They all received a shock of their lives seeing them face to face a mere few feet away and that's makes their job as Super Criminals tougher from now on!  The shock on their faces unnerved them and the most precious was the Riddler and the Catwoman because it was the Riddler that launches the two riddles and Catwoman who planned the whole thing was stunned too. The remaining two the Penguin and the Joker were equally amazed and stunned by the appearance of the Dynamic Duo!

To the Living End - Part 1 of 2While the four Arch Criminals got away with 9 test tubes of dehydrated members of the Security Council and escaped through Penguin's Submarine - Batman and Robin raced to the Security Council and discovered that the Members are gone and speed to the Batcopter via Batboat (I think) to corral the the four Arch Criminals once for all.  Batman uses the Batboat such a manner so that the Batboat will be a difficult target by circling around the Submarine and while he doing that Robin's is firing the Batzooka with precision so that it's made the Super Criminals very uneasy and force them to the Surface.  Before they came to surface, Penguin gave the orders run silent and run deep and that's didn't do any good at all and yet they had to surface anyway to face the music - mercy of the hands of the Dynamic Duo. Prior to all this they are enjoying a brief triumph of victory having all nine members of the Security Council and demanding 1 Billion Dollars from each country through Penguin's Carrier Pigeons to have them back safe and sound. While at Surface a great Bat Fight was in order in a big set that has only 6 to 8 feet of water in it and they did so cleverly - you were hardly noticed it until told otherwise. Adam West told me that he had some bruises doing some of the stunts and he told me that Burgess Meredith had a hard time in this scene and also Frank Gorshin as well ... everyone that participated in this Bat Fight - this is the most difficult scene to shoot at the time. The Bat Fight lasted more than 5 minutes of heart pounding action ... that was climaxed inside the Penguin's Sub when Catwoman's mask was accidentally removed and Batman (Adam West) was remembering the romance with Miss Kitka with music inside his head. Some Great Bat Fight Scenes here.    While all this going on ... Batman even took the time to get Catwoman's Kitty Kat ... Hecate out of the way!  Batman: Bon Voyage, Pussy.
Back to the action for more exciting Bat Fights!   While Robin is securing all the Super Criminals and their henchmen - Batman called the Coast Guard to meet at a vantage point to take care of the rotten gang and while he at it - he spots the 9 test tubes and grab a hold of it and secure Catwoman and then in all the rotten luck in the world - Commodore Schmidlapp accidentally sneezes and all the dust inside those test tubes got literally scrambled! A daunting task for the Dynamic Duo!

To the Living End - Part 2 of 2
They took all the dust and took them to the Batcave to try their best to separate it and working with Commissioner Gordon via the President of the United States broadcasting to the entire world praying that the mission of the Dynamic Duo to be a highly successful one.
They uses a SUPER MOLECULAR DUST SEPARATOR to make sure all the nine members of the Security Council was indeed separated and the painful process is now complete!
Prior to that, Batman told GORDON that the rehydration process will start momentarily while the rest of the world anxiously awaiting for the results of this complex process that Batman and Robin carefully hook up all the gizmos ... Test tubes, hoses, stands, and everything else to make sure that this is a successful one indeed.
After everything in place and all things are set up properly they hooked up the hose to the LIGHT WATER container and Batman ordered Robin to turn it on slowly and maturely to make sure that all members gets an equal dose of water to make this operation a success!
A Great Miracle Happen and all the members of the Security Council appeared and everyone was excited and Commissioner Gordon telephone the President of the United States that the operations was a great success here.
The Whole World Rejoices ...
SUCCESS SUCCESS SUCCESS
The Process is complete with one small detail ...
Batman: Who knows, Robin? This strange mixing of minds may be the greatest single service ever performed for humanity! Let's go, but, inconspicuously, through the window. We'll use our Batropes. Our job is finished.
THE LIVING END ?
I say this is the true Batman Movie done in Comic Book Style that showcases in the Silver Age Era of which all the Costumes done just right with Color and Manners. The Movie has everything going in place and all the main actors especially Lee Meriwether and Burgess Meredith did very well providing that they had two roles in this movie and the extra steel in Bruce Wayne was an added bonus. Every player and another thing about this movie that Aunt Harriet appeared in this movie without saying a single word, highly unusual for this movie. Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara had great supporting role too.
Ample use of the Batmobile, Batcopter, Bat Boat, and Bat Cycle ... this movie really showcases these fabulous transportation modes and great shots in the Batcave as well ... they did a bang up job doing everything they can possibly do with a limited budget and all that.

The 1966 Batman movie happened to be on TV on Sunday and I re-watched it with my wife, who hadn't seen it before. She thought it was awful, but kinda got the tongue-in-cheek, campy appeal. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I always do. It's a classic.

Batman Episode (2) … Second Season – Shoot a Crooked Arrow Original Air Date - September 7, 1966 Major Villain - Art Carney as the Archer Important Guest Stars - Robert Cornthwaite as Allan A. Dale and Barbara Nichols as Maid Marilyn Batman Episode (2) … Second Season – Walk the Straight and Narrow Original Air Date - September 8, 1966 Major Villain - See Above for information Important Guest Stars - See Above for information My Thoughts about the two Shows  Barbara Nichols as Maid Marilyn pictured her next to the Archer.  Robert Cornthwaite as Allan A. Dale - He played a Head of Wayne Foundation that wanted to use Bruce Wayne's monies for his own evil ways. I wanted to get these two shows in the beginning of the 2nd Season out of the way today and I was thinking about it this morning and wanted to touch base with all of you here. The main reason that I can't watch these two shows because I just can't take Art Carney seriously as a villain and I consider these two shows are so darn campy that I literally can't keep a straight face watching and giving my honest thoughts about it. One of the scenes that I can vividly remember is that the Archer has a Corner Shot Arrow that can shoots around corners that I consider that scene so laughable as a kid and even more laughable as an adult. I like Robert Cornthwaite acting in this two-parter and not even his acting can save it. Art Carney is a beloved actor in his association with Jackie Gleason so reverend that I had a difficult time accepting his role on the two part opener of Batman in the 2nd Season seriously enough that it's made this Honeymooners Fan cried when he did this role. Last and not least, I felt that Batman's Producers ... should (Warning Spoiler Alert) had retake the last 3-5 minutes of the Shoot a Crooked Arrow.{WARNING ALERT}Adam West had a boner For Your Own InformationI will do Hot Off the Griddle and The Cat and the Fiddle showcasing Julie Newmar as the Catwoman on July 23rd. I will do The Minstrel's Shakedown and Barbecued Batman? showcasing Van Johnson as the Minstrel on July 30th. After August 2nd, I will try my best to do as many shows that I can before I take a month hiatus from this thread due to Vacations, Family Business, and Personal Matters that I need to take care of.
