My Reviews - Final DecisionSorry Yvonne Craig Fans, I decided not to do the final Season of which it's has 26 Episodes altogether. The Episodes for the most part were inferior and downright silly and I just can't stand most of the shows that they put together. So, when the Review of The Duo Defy (94th Show) is finished ... I'm finished reviewing these shows for good. I have to admit I am a little disappointed. I loved Yvonne Craig but I agree the 3rd season was definitely sub par.

UPDATEI'm skipping four shows in the 2nd Season of Batman, Cliff Robertson as Shame and Maurice Evans as the Puzzler on grounds that I can't not accept them as face value. The above episodes were some of the worst ones.

In the 41st Show The Spell of TutGreen Hornet and Kato made a window entrance The Dynamic Duo was heading to the Apothecary Shop that Sig Haig operated; and this is my favorite window cameo in the three seasons of Batman. The Dynamic Duo recognized the Green Hornet & Kato as crimefighters (similar to the TV audience), but will see them as criminals during the crossover later that season (the same as all in-universe characters of The Green Hornet TV series). They makde great contrasts, and a bit of history as the first live-action superhero crossover.

Batman Episode (49) … Second Season – The Devil's FingersOriginal Air Date - October 26, 1966 Major Villain - Liberace as Chandell and Harry (dual roles) Important Guest StarsMarilyn Hanold as Doe Edy Williams as Rae Sivi Aberg as Mimi My Thoughts about the ShowBruce Wayne is out on a Camping Trip and Dick Grayson on a School Holiday dating an attractive blonde and having time off from Crime Fighting and all. In one evening Wayne Manor was attacked by three phantoms all gorgeous ladies into the life of crime that left Commissioner Gordon and his Men frustrated over the lack of clues and all that. The three Phantoms Strikes So, Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara at the scene of the crime and they decided that it is best handled by Batman and Robin and they called the operator at the Police Headquarters and asked for the Special Hotline to contact the Caped Crusaders and they discovered that both Batman and Robin aren't available. The following night it was the Charity Concert for Wayne Foundation and both Chandell and Aunt Harriet are scheduled to perform and somehow Chandell hits a wrong chord and that the signal for the Phantoms to strike another location and therefore the mysterious criminal had struck twice causing great strain to his notion and demanding Batman in his hour of need. Hotline and Chandell is being told by Commissioner Gordon that Batman and Robin aren't available. Then, later that night after Bruce Wayne contacted Dick Grayson that your School Holiday must end and something is fishy in Gotham City and having realized that they were gone for two days indicating a major crime is being planned and Commissioner Gordon is going frustrated by the lack of evidence and Chandell instructed his Phantoms to stake out Wayne Manor for Bruce Wayne to show up. So, later on both Chandell found out that Bruce Wayne is back at Wayne Manor and that good news so that they can pull off a plan to get the vast fortunes of the Wayne Foundation and the bad news that Batman and Robin are back in action to solve this mysterious crime wave. First they went to Chandell place to discovered that he was struck by a Root Beer Bottle that he was sharing with Aunt Harriet and Robin found some smelling salts to revive him and to figure out what's going on around here. Prior to this the Great Chandell is romancing Aunt Harriet Note: This is one of Madge Blake most prominent performances on Batman and she did a great job of acting here. Left to Right ... The Phantoms Edy Williams as Rae Marilyn Hanold as Doe Sivi Aberg as Mimi After careful deduction the Dynamic Duo headed to a Paper Roll Factory to confront Harry and his Phantoms and a strong Bat-Fight followed and somehow they were brought down by a Paper Roll from the ceiling that Harry let go on purpose to knock out the Caped Crusaders and fed them to a Paper Roll Cutting Machine. What's horrible device that our beloved heroes are being fed to! Bats
Episodes #49 and #50 are the two highest rated shows in Batman's History and many people wanted to see Liberace and this is one of his fondest memories of his career being a part of the Batman experiences. It was a masterpiece of Madge Blake's performance and she did one incredible job here.

Batman Episode (49) … Second Season – The Dead RingersOriginal Air Date - October 27, 1966 Major Villain - Liberace as Chandell and Harry (dual roles) Important Guest StarsMarilyn Hanold as Doe Edy Williams as Rae Sivi Aberg as Mimi My Thoughts about the ShowFollowing Batman's orders he instructed Robin to sing the exact notes so that the paper roll machine can cut through the outlines of their bodies so that they can escape. Batman and Robin finally caught up with Harry and his Phantoms and Harry told the girls to leave first and Batman's bop him with his batarang and took him to Police Headquarters to be grilled for more questions than he bargain for and he was soundly rescued by his Lawyer that took control of this situation. So, after that and all this going on; Batman suspected a rotten deal here using player rolls, conspiracy to commit murder, trying to get a hold of the vast fortune of Wayne Foundation and a plot to marry Aunt Harriet and all this prompt Batman to ask Robin about the Chandell's performance at the White House and using Robin's memory and all that and thinking about it and all that making Batman to think about the greater scoop of things here. In order to trap Chandell's he created a scene inside Wayne Manor that Dick Grayson's had an accident in his Darkroom and headlines (false one) to force Chandell to play his hand to the Police and to our Caped Crusaders. And back to Wayne Manor, even Aunt Harriet suspected that it was Harry as disguise of Chandell and when Harry's kissed her hands and a light bulb moment and she told Alfred to bring her Blackberry Brandy to calm her nerves and all and told Alfred a Girl can tell and that's where she decided to do something about it. So, the caper in motion as the Evil Harry and his twin brother Chandell have already in place and during a moment of a quick rehearsal ... Aunt Harriet pulls out a gun and promptly orders Harry to go to the Police Headquarters and turn yourself in and that's whe Doe came in to stop Aunt Harriet altogether! This is not something to see Aunt Harriet here taking charge of anything and let alone have a Gun in her hands here. So, with all this going on and Batman and Robin already place a homing device on Aunt Harriet to keep tabs on her whereabouts and saved Aunt Harriet from certain death along with Alfred too and with Alfred help they went inside the crate that Aunt Harriet is supposed to be and Harry using a Machine Gun and gunning her down and all the sudden the Caped Crusaders exploded into action and stop the deadly dealings of Chandell and his rotten brother Harry. After all this, and a day later after the dust is settled, at Police Headquarters ... Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Commissioner Gordon, and Chief O'Hara greeted Aunt Harriet with a Citizen Police Award for outstanding service and Commissioner Gordon proudly gave her that award and Aunt Harriet accepted and wondering what happen to Chandell and Gordon gave her a note written to Aunt Harriet to apologize and make amends to. Aunt Harriet realize that and understood everything. At the end inside Jail, and all the Piano Movers, the Phantoms one by one, and Harry got real upset about being in Jail and warns everybody ... I'm getting out of this joint and all that. And, Chandell was singing away and playing his Piano like nothing happen and being in Jail a fitting end of this diabolical caper that was originated by his evil twin brother Harry. BatsThis is Madge Blake's finest performance in this series of shows and I was delighted in seeing her in a more established role that makes her demanding and strong. Great Show from start to finish and this is one of the highest rated shows in Batman history.

Batman Episode (51) … Second Season – Hizzonner the PenguinOriginal Air Date - November 2, 1966 Major Villain - Burgess Meredith as The Penguin Important Guest StarsPaul Revere and the Raiders and Little Egypt (Belly Dancer) Byron Keith as Mayor Lindseed My Thoughts about the ShowThe show opener showing the Penguin decking a robber of a blind newspaper dealer, being polite to a Police Officer, saving people, and donating $100,000 to the Police Fund. That's baffled both Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara. Forcing them to call the services of the Dynamic Duo. They discovered that the Penguin is running for Mayor. The Gallus Poll shows that the Penguin is ahead by 2 to 1 based on the polls conducted by Gallus, Rooper, and Trendex. And, Mayor Linseed beg Batman to run as Mayor and himself as the Deputy and after careful considerations - Batman agree to accept the call and soon he announced his candidacy; Gallus, Rooper, and Trendex told Pengy that Batman is ahead in the polls and that changes everything. Stark reality here ... Pengy's is full of action, pretty girls, music, free champagne, and much, much, more. While Batman a deathly dull ... Even a big billboard too. With all this going on and Pengy pulls one dirty trick and after to undermine the Voter's trust and doing everything that he can to gain an edge and that's made him quite formidable. That's what the objective of the Penguin and making the Police Officer gun to goes like this along putting a bumper sticker on top of Chief O'Hara Cap and back of Commissioner Gordon's Jacket. At Batman's Campaign Headquarters - Aunt Harriet gave Batman an generous check for her contributions to Batman Campaign Fund and while that being settled, Batman would not kiss babies because of sanitary concerns that prompts voters to change their minds and vote for Pengy himself of which Pengy knows every rotten tricks in the books. Again, at Batman's rally - it's was deathly dull having very little people showing up and Mayor Linseed begs Robin why he doesn't wants spruce things up and Robin said let Batman runs this election as he sees fit. Voting Posters of Batman and the Penguin Again at Penguin's Headquarters more action and showcasing the services of Paul Revere and the Raiders along with Little Egypt the Belly Dancer made an appearance on the show. Here's the Clip here. Then, in the Batcave, Batman ponders his next move and accepted an invitation to meet G.O.O.N. - Grand Order of Occidental Nighthawks and when they got there - they recognized three of the GOONS that they meet and a quick Bat Fight and a few minutes later Robin got captured and Batman surrenders to the GOONS and they placed them in a rope net with big blocks of ice as a counterbalance and the Penguin made a quick stop seeing the Dynamic Duo in a situation that's shows no end in sight. Being dumped into big vat of Sulphuric Acid! BatsAnother great show and this had a great pace to it.

59 Come Back, Shame 60 It's How You Play the Game – Cliff Robertson as Shame65 The Puzzles Are Coming 66 The Duo is Slumming – Maurice Evans as The Puzzler89 Black Widow Strikes Again 90 Caught in the Spider's Den - Tallulah Bankhead as the Black WidowDear Everyone,My next review #52, Dizzoner the Penguin will be up late Monday Night and I got 35 shows left to do minus the ones that listed on top and those six shows starring Cliff Robertson as Shame, Maurice Evans as the Puzzler, and Tallulah Bankhead as the Black Widow are the ones that I'm not doing at all. That's leaves me 35 shows to review and again, I'm not doing the third season of Batman because 70% of the show not worth the effort to review at all. I totally dislike the third season alone. I should be done by the end of this year; plus or minus 20 days. This is going to be my last review thread in this forum.

Batman Episode (52) … Second Season – Dizzonner the PenguinOriginal Air Date - November 3, 1966 Major Villain - Burgess Meredith as The Penguin Important Guest StarsThere were three cameos of game shows hosts that's a play on the Gallup polls that are still used today, and Walter Klondike, Chet Chumley, and David Dooley are plays on popular newscasters of the era, Walter Cronkite, Chet Huntley, and David Brinkley. My Thoughts about the ShowAfter escaping wearing the Acid-Proof Costume and getting back to the elections of being Mayor of Gotham City; Batman getting help from Alfred in applying makeup on him in his preparation of the debate against the Penguin. The Great Debate In the next 2 and half minutes of air time one of the most craziest nonsense that I've ever watched and it's border on extreme insanity that any Gotham City Citizen knows that Batman is a Crimefighter and everyone knows that the Penguin is a Super Crook himself capturing people and highjacking the TV Crew that in reality not handling the broadcast. Penguin as Mayor, No Way !!! After this nonsense, both candidates were informed by the Press and the Police Department that robbery at a Jewelry Convention netting $2,000,000 in fabulous jewels being robbed and both candidates races to the scene and ... In the next eight or so minutes of the show is surrounded by more nutty nonsense and crazy new reporting and more nonsense that I just can't keep a straight face watching it. Because of this nonsense and please read the Important Guest Stars and I just puzzled why IMDb did not list Dennis James as Chet Chumley, Don Wilson as Walter Klondike, and Allen Ludden as David Dooley as actors in the first place? Dennis James, Don Wilson, and Allen Ludden did most of the work in this segment that lasted over eight minutes and that's a poor decision on the part of the Batman's producers and that alone cost them 1 Bat off my review here. This scene and the debate scene also cost them another bat as well. Election Night Then, the Election Night Coverage began and Batman is gaining on the momentum because the Penguin was misinformed by Gallus, Rooper, and Trendex that made the Penguin mad and frustrated that he didn't do a good job of campaigning as Mayor and eventually Batman won by a Landslide and that's shows faith by the good people of Gotham City. Batman wins the Mayorship of Gotham City And, after the elections is over, another Bat Fight at the Headquarters of the Grand Order of Occidental Nighthawks ... or G.O.O.N for short and one by one the Dynamic Duo fed all the henchmen and the Penguin in a Campaign Literature Packager and that's wrap up this silly show in the 2nd Season of Batman. Then back to Police Headquarters and discussing the case, Batman got two phone calls to run as President of the United States and as usual ... He declines both offers respectfully. BatsThis is the best that I can do.
