I know you aren't a fan of the third season @mechagodzilla but I really enjoyed the addition of Batgirl. Yvonne Craig was beautiful & incredible in the role. I also liked Alfred's increased role. There were some decent episodes like this one.

Batman Episodes (96) … Third SeasonRing Around the Riddler Original Air DatesSeptember 21, 1967 Major VillainFrank Gorshin as The Riddler Important Guest StarsJoan Collins as The Siren - Special Guest Villainess (Cameo) Peggy Ann Garner as Betsy Boldface James Brolin as Kid Gulliver And, Madge Blake as Aunt Cooper (1st of two cameos this season) Highlights of the ShowNeat Video here Show Analysis First of all, it was Batgirl was in just in time entering the Boxing Arena of which a blinking box startled a cashier and she saw this under her alter-ego Barbara Gordon and she quickly took that box to Commissioner Gordon who called Batman and he wasn't home so the Bat Signal was used to contact the Caped Crusader! Before we get to the blinking box; Kid Gulliver has disappeared, kidnapped by the Riddler, having pumped him full of “riddle juice,” which keeps him amnesiac and unaware of himself. They figured out the riddles that Riddler left behind and at the end of that session - Batgirl vanishes and it's one of her arsenals of crime-fighting using a special blend of vanishing cream to do the trick. So, later on Batman and Robin stopped by Barbara's apartment to figure out a riddle together and then Commissioner Gordon was too and wanted to watch Betsy Boldface's late televised broadcast about prizefighting in Gotham City. Riddler in Disguise Then, a few minutes later in the program ... Joan Collins appeared and spinned out her dazzling decimals on Batgirl and that's didn't work and immediately she was captured and sent to the Steam Room too. Batgirl escaped a few minutes away and Siren's decibels didn't work on Batgirl and Boldface because her notes only works on Men ... tough break for the Riddler! Betsy Boldface was underneath the Ring and before I get to that - Aunt Harriet showed up and it was a surprise to see her here ... Then, Batman and the Riddler squared off in the ring and before that ... Riddler had his phone connected to a Radio Station calling Batman a Coward and wants to fight Batman in the Ring and so that he can rule the Ring and defeat the Caped Crusader! Batgirl was instrumental of stopping that by pulling down the magnet that Riddler used Metal Shavings to do the trick ... remember the Metal Shavings earlier! Then as soon Batman was freed from the Magnet and a great Bat-Fight caught on and all of Gotham City Boxing World was saved! Gordon gets buzzed by Bonnie, who says that Lorelei Circe is here to see him—but it’s actually Siren, and she enchanted him with her singing and this way the next villainess is coming your way next week! BatsIt was a good show and the problems is this too many riddles and that why it's didn't gets the 5th Bat. It was fun seeing Frank returned as the Riddler and Mrs Cooper as well and this show was a winner in my book! And, the dazzling Joan Collins too!

Batman Episodes (97) … Third SeasonThe Wail of the Siren Original Air DatesSeptember 28, 1967 Major VillainessJoan Collins as The Siren Important Guest StarsNone Highlights of the ShowActually, this show is quite simple and the easiest show in the 3rd Season to follow of which the Siren has two objectives to find out the secret identity of Batman and secure the vast fortunes of Bruce Wayne so that she can rule Gotham City and eventually the world as she sees fit. First of all she asked Commissioner Gordon to call Batman to meet at Barbara's Apartment and that's the first activity that she went about her evil plans to use Gordon to go to the Batcave and call the Siren to share the news of Batman's true identity. Quick thinking on Alfred's part he uses Bat Sleep to Commissioner Gordon and brought him upstairs to Bruce's Study and inform both Bruce and Dick of Gordon's knowledge of their dual identities and then a couple minutes later ... the Siren called Bruce Wayne and meet her at his Wayne Building in downtown Gotham City so that she can secure the vast fortune of Bruce Wayne. Then, Batgirl and Robin must take action and they were kicked out of Wayne Building and ... then Robin, planted a bug so that he and Batgirl can listen up of what Siren has to do with Bruce Wayne and eventually Batman's secret identity whatever comes first. A great Bat-Fight that both Batgirl and Robin engaged in and they did it without the aid of Batman and they managed to restore order securing Wayne's fortune and preserved Batman's true identity. The Siren after being saved by Robin, agreed to give Bruce the antidote note to restore his senses. So, after that ... in Commissioner Gordon's office - Gordon was finally came to his senses and couldn't remember what happen in the last 12 hours and felt like Rip Van Winkle and everything is alright. The funny thing is seeing Chief O'Hara walking in all soaking wet and being rescued by Batgirl and it was a funny thing to see. BatsNice Show and good efforts by Joan Collins as the Siren and I wished that they used her again later on the 3rd Season. Nice job by Yvonne Craig and Burt Ward as well too.

......
I see the Penguin took the time to coordinate the ropes and gag with Barbara's coat; that's planning!
I love the cockeyed logic in this one; that Gordon won't prosecute. I'd think he'd be more likely to prosecute and have the wedding annulled! I always wished they had included the pilot short within the series, as it is great fun. They also use the clothing to costume change that the comics kept for a bit, where here skirt turned into her cape. I know they redid the mask because the points left deep impressions on her face, which affected other filming, so they went with the rounded edge mask.

Batman Episodes (98, 99) … Third SeasonThe Sport of Penguins A Horse of Another Color Original Air DatesOctober 5, 1967 October 12, 1967 Major VillainsBurgess Meredith as The Penguin Ethel Merman as Lola Lasagne Important Guest StarsHerbert Anderson as The Racing Secretary (2nd Show) With Batman here. Highlights of the ShowFirst of all, these two shows were so bad and I just felt that Lola Lasagne played by Ethel Merman was laughable and not up to her standards of an actress. I felt that and having said that this show of which I watched last night and it's about horse racing and the continual mishaps of parasols, library being robbed, glue factory, and three horses being run in the Bruce Wayne Handicap ... Parasol, Bumbershoot, and Waynebow. Seeing Yvonne Craig dressed in that Pink Satin Robe was the highlight of these two shows! About Ethel's Performance in these two shows are so bad and she should not been on these shows at all and her value being a performer is not so worthy at all. And, for the Penguin ... This is his worst outing as the Penguin and I had a hard time figuring out what the world going on here and usually it is the villain that set the tone of these two shows and having said that ... I had hard time following it. So, far in my humble opinion is the worst two part show of Batman! ... Sorry Members! BatsNoneFor the record and getting close to December and I'm going to stop right there and done 99 shows so far and resume with Number 100 with Victor Buono returning as King Tut in The Unkindest Tut of All and I'll start that in the beginning of January of 2018. I'm very well ahead of schedule and I hope to have the remainder of the 21 shows done by February.

Well, the series was a lifeless shell at this point. Even the relatively solid episode with The Siren could not offset the flood of bad that is the third season.
Frank Gorshin decided to return to the series for his one-off as the Riddler, but he had no idea that the standards which made the series a success had since been kicked off the top of a Bat-mountain.

The CCF Classic Comics Christmas will start on the 13th of December and I've decided to do ...
Show 100 - The Unkindest Tut of All, with King (Victor Buono) Tut and
Show 101 - Louie, the Lilac, with Milton Berle as Louie, the Lilac and then stop and continue with the rest of the Shows and decided to finish at the end of January and be done for good.
I will get these two shows done by the 2nd of December.
I know that I can do 19 shows in the month of January and most of them are pretty easy to follow.

Batman Episodes (100) … Third SeasonThe Unkindest Tut of All Original Air DatesOctober 19, 1967 Major VillainVictor Buono as King Tut Important Guest StarsNone Highlights of the ShowFirst of all, this is pretty fast and decent show and it's really came through to me. It's all started when Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon is out on a date and enjoying each other company and the Bat Phone was beeping and Dick (Robin) Grayson was communicating with Commissioner Gordon and he can get him in a hurry. Dick summons him by his wristwatch and the rest is simple. It was cool talking to that lamp here. Then, Alfred dropped off Barbara near her beauty salon and he hurried home to answer the call while Dick is waiting ... the real bummer is that I wished Dick drove the Batmobile and Bruce changed in his Batsuit while he dropped him off in an alley near Police Headquarters and go from there? They didn't do that. After that ... the Dynamic Duo raced to the Circus-like Tent of the Headquarters of King Tut and Batman tries to reason with him and all that and Tut, made a prediction that the Soccer Stadium and an innocent bystander planted a bug in the rear of the Batmobile while Batman and Robin stopped the crime despite being handcuffed together. Then, they went back to Batcave and while all this going on ... without their knowledge King Tut figured out where the Batcave is located and he called on Bruce (Batman) Wayne to come out and verified that both Bruce and Batman are two different people. King Tut and his Tutscope! This was so freaking cool seeing it in this program ... quite useful too! Here's proof that Bruce Wayne and Batman are two separate individuals using the technology that Bruce has in his arsenal using a Bat Dummy and his abilities to use his ventriloquism to fool King Tut! Then, Batgirl showed up and she is the first crimefighter to tried to stop King Tut doing more harm in Gotham City and she got knocked out by a moll named Shirley and after she knocked out Batgirl ... timely entrance by Batman and Robin to put King Tut and his henchmen out of business and somehow ... Batgirl managed to make herself available and the rest was history. In a side note they managed to save a Librarian along the way too. Bats It's a great show and at the end of the program - Louie the Lilac was reported by a Policeman and King Tut was in the office of Commissioner Gordon along with Barbara Gordon of whom Bruce wanted another date with her and King Tut was raving mad knowing that Bruce is on his way home to put on his suit and the rest is history! I just loved the ending here!

Lola Lasagna and Louie the lilac are teeth-gnashingly bad. Even characters like Marsha, Queen of Diamonds and Nora Clavacle are mediocre; but, they never made me want to throw blunt objects at the tv screen.
Say what you will about the third season and the level of stories and villains; but, Yvonne Craig adds a lot and saves this from total disaster, as a season. if only she had first season-level scripts to work with.
Victor Buono and King Tut were always a good time. Buono knew how to play this stuff, as seen in such farcical movies as The Silencers and Who's Minding the Mint, as well as the only watchable episodes of the Man From Atlantis.

My friend Louis Paradis has been doing cool portraits of the Batman TV show characters. It's nice to know that the classics still deserve respect!

Batman Episodes (101) … Third SeasonLouie the Lilac Original Air DatesOctober 26, 1967 Major VillainMilton Berle as Louie the Lilac Important Guest StarsLisa Seagram as Lila Highlights of the ShowOk, this is a totally bizarre show to begin with of where Barbara Gordon is taking a stroll in the Park of where the flower people is focusing on one Princess Primrose who is the Leader of the Flower People and the future leaders of Gotham City. Louie whisked her away using his flower boutonniere and spraying her and that forces her to obey his commands from this point on and tossing fake flowers to all the people attending the festival. Knowing that, and Barbara Gordon feeling uneasy at this point she made a visit to her father's office and tried her best to alert her father and didn't make a dent in the situation. In fact, it’s Barbara who takes it upon herself to use the Bat Phone and call the Caped Crusaders into action! Later, the Dynamic Duo is at Gordon's Office and mapping out a plan to do something about it. So, with well thought and careful considerations they made a visit to Lila's Flower Shop at 11 Lavender Lane and automatically got tangled up in Man-Eating Lilacs! Batman made a comment that his utility belt already been eaten! ... Not Robin's of which I find it awfully a hard pill to swallow and it's bothers me so much! Lila pictured below ... totally subdued the Dynamic Duo ... I just can't picture that! A cliffhanger at this point is totally ridiculous! BTW, at this point that Barbara Gordon got kidnapped twice and I can't see that this is important to know and totally useless information here. Then, later on Batman and Robin managed to escaped and a blast of cold air that killed the lilacs and seeing Lila's expressions ... See Photo Above of seeing Louie the Lilac is melting is pretty something to see ... A happy moment here ... Even, Robin said ... “The flower children think we’re cool man, like we turn them on, you know.” and that's one of many things to appeal to the Flower Generation at the time that this show was made. BatsJust barely one Bat ... It was a really a dumb show and I totally forgot how dumb this show really is and I just can't believe that I just watched it. For the Record ... I'm going to resume this thread earlier around December 28th or so that I can get it done before February so that I can concertrate on my second Water Polo League that will be starting the 5th (of February) and I can managed that quite easily.
