Mahoney's Tarzan got a bit more scope (which started with Gordon Scott) and they shot them in foreign locales. Three Challenges was shot, at least partially, in Thailand. They look great, especially compared to earlier ones, which are obviously not shot in Africa. Strode also appears in the Ron Ely tv series (in 6 episodes) and Tarzan's Fight for Life (with Gordon Scott). he also played Lothar, in a Mandrake tv movie (1954) and is in an episode of Jungle Jim (inspired by the newspaper success of Tarzan, created by Alex Raymond). My favorite Strode roles are Sgt Rutledge and The Professionals, with Spartacus close behind. He is also memorable, briefly, in Once Upon a Time in the West (at the train station shootout). Woody Strode also spent some time as a professional wrestler.

Batman Episode (1) … First Season – The Penguin Goes Straight Original Air Date - March 23, 1966 Major Villain - Burgess Meredith as the Penguin Important Guest StarsKathleen Crowley as Sophia Starr Harvey Lembeck as Eagle-Eye I see him a lot and he got his fame as Eric Von Zipper in the various Beach movies with Annette and Frankie. My Thoughts about the Show
Well, in the opening sequence you'll see the transformation of the Penguin to a Crime Fighter in saving Sophia Starr's Red Ruby Necklace and having said that it was a shock to the Commissioner and Chief O'Hara and they smell a Rat and decided to call upon the services of the Dynamic Duo. Having seeing that happening and knowing that the Penguin and Sophia Starr played by the lovely Kathleen Crowley pictured below was shocking to the law enforcement everywhere in Gotham City. Then, later on the Dynamic Duo raced to the Gentlemen Club and discovered that Penguin really gone straight in saving a Millionaire Life using colored Dry Ice to stop a Criminal in kidnapping that Millionaire and later on his henchmen questioned him why you tore up a $10,000 check and the Penguin inform them - that's not part of his plan and with good riddance. And with that, he shared the Dynamic Duo his new Business Card ... The Penguin Protective Agency complete with phone number too. In order to find out his true colors - Batman and Robin came up a bold and very risky plan to involve Alfred in an undercover insurance agent to take pictures of Sophia Starr's jewelry and take that back to the Batcave so Batman and Robin can make fake duplicates and make the switch and forcing them to be criminals and hoping not to get caught. Here Alfred posing as an Insurance Agent with Penguin and Sophia Starr in the Background. Then, the Horrors of Horrors happen and the Penguin caught successfully seeing the Dynamic Duo trying to open Sophia Starr's safe and replace the real one with duplicates made by Batman and Robin and they failed to do so and managed to escape the clutches and both Penguin and Sophia Starr demanded Justice from Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara and that will be discussed in our next show. Things aren't looking good for the Dynamic Duo being caught red-handed here in this photo that I've shared here. My next review will be later on today. BatsExcellent Show from Start to Finish and I find this show done just right and lead us to a very dramatic fashion!

Batman Episode (1) … First Season – Not Yet, He Ain't Original Air Date - March 24, 1966 Major Villain - Burgess Meredith as the Penguin Important Guest StarsKathleen Crowley as Sophia Starr Harvey Lembeck as Eagle-Eye My Thoughts about the ShowAfter Batman and Robin got away from the bullets that fired upon them from the unwilling hands of Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara and Dove got knocked out by the Dynamic Duo with their trusty Batarangs and all that. And, then the Penguin demanded the Police to arrest the Dynamic Duo and Penguin wants action fast and Batman agree to meet his demands and told him that they will meet at his headquarters in 25 minutes and that's led to the Penguin's Downfall. Batman ordered Robin to call Commissioner Gordon for details and further instructions ... After being held by unknown force and Penguin tried to apprehend the Duo in fanatic Bat-Fight and Robin heard the Police and Batman tried his best to get out of there and avoiding the Police in all costs and with bullets flying all over the place - they managed to bring down the Dynamic Duo to a untimely death that stuns everyone. Reports flying everywhere including Television of where Aunt Harriet and Alfred were watching and Aunt Harriet was deeply saddened by all this and wanted Bruce and Dick to comfort her. Note: It's took exactly 297 rounds to plug the Dynamic Duo and they were blanks ordered by the Dynamic Duo earlier. So the crooks on their merrily ways and the Penguin became the new Protector of Gotham City replacing the late and damaged Dynamic Duo. Then, the Penguin secretly fooled Sophia Starr, her guests, Commissioner Gordon, O'Hara and all that with Rain inside the Wedding Ceremony, Reception, and all that and taking away valuable gifts like an Oil Well, Gold Dinner Service, and among other things including a diamond encrusted Can Opener too Note: He provided each guest with umbrella. Then, later on the Dynamic Duo (their Trump Card, while the Penguin holds all the ACES) and Batman decided to use the latest gimmicks that they installed in their Batmobile by ejecting Dove and Eagle-Eye into orbit. Then, the Dynamic Duo engage some trickery again the Penguin and array of tomfoolery and wacky things came onto the Penguin and Batman turned the tables by opening doors, locked the steering wheel, and doing the things that Dynamic Duo wanted to do. Then startled Dove and Eagle-Eye seeing ghosts and a brief gunfight and a even shorter bat-fight stopped them cold and Dynamic Duo captured them and sent them to Prison after all. Then later at Commissioner Gordon's Office, Sophia Starr, and Chief O'Hara all tried to reform the Penguin and the Penguin preferred the life of a Super Crook and finally showcased his true colors and wanting to go back to Prison Bats The best so far!

Another great review @mechagodzilla on two great Penguin episodes!
IMO Burgess Meredith did the best job bringing his villain to life straight from the comic pages.

Linda Gaye Scott - MothOf all the actresses that I seen on Batman, I was told by Adam West that she was the worst of the worst because of inability to follow instructions and she did not had a great career as an actress. Even, Van Williams agrees with Adam because she did an appearance on his show the Green Hornet as Vama. Linda Gaye Scott as Vama In my next review ... Ring of Wax that will be up shortly is one of the most difficult show for me to watch because of the acting of Moth, by Linda Gaye Scott. So, let's start with "Ring of Wax" ...

Batman Episode (1) … First Season – The Ring of Wax Original Air Date - March 30, 1966 Major Villain - Frank Gorshin as the Riddler Important Guest StarsNone My Thoughts about the ShowIt's all started at Madame Soleil having the wax figure of Batman stolen by the Riddler and having said that it's leads to unquestionable gambit and with unknown plans by the Riddler of which Commissioner Gordon, Madame Soleil, and the Dynamic Duo can lead to. The Riddler and his rotten Gang wanted to steal the statue of Batman because of the special wax once heated can go through anything and I've mean anything so he can use it to get to book in the Library that contains the Lost Treasures of the Incas. Knowing that and he (The Riddler) makes it too easy for the Dynamic Duo to follow him and that alone made this show sometimes unbearable to watch because the Producers in my mind - rush this show into production and the script wasn't all that great either and that's why I felt that this show was average at best. So, later on they blew a hole in the safe and found the Book what they looking for and with the knowledge that they can gain - they can find the Lost Treasures of the Incas easily and with a brief bat-fight and being trapped just briefly by the Riddler's Spray and all that made me cringe what is next on the agenda for the Dynamic Duo. All clues being pointed to the Wax Museum of where this caper has started from and eventually the Riddler places two darts almost instantly and both Batman and Robin falls prey to the evil charms of the Riddler and the Riddler glee in triumph that he got the book, snagged the Dynamic Duo, and the world famous Batmobile in all one big glorious sweep and what a day he did in his life of crime. At the end of the Show, the Riddler places the Dynamic Duo over a huge vat of hot bubbly wax and Batman pours questions and more questions to the Riddler that the Riddler gladly offers his answers and as the show comes to a close here. Sorry, that I didn't write much here and I have a difficult time watching this show because it is one of my least favorite show to watch and I have to admit that this show is one of the low points in the first season of Batman. I just can't stand the idiotical henchmen that the Riddler employed here and the stupid costumes that they wore and the costumes that Moth wore was even more outlandish and that alone makes it even more difficult to watch at all. BatsThe plot is weak, the acting was weak, and the only thing was good about this show is the Riddler that performs at his best and the acting of both West and Ward was the worst that I seen so far. I just can't stand this show at all.

Batman Episode (1) … First Season – Give 'Em the Axe Original Air Date - March 31, 1966 Major Villain - Frank Gorshin as the Riddler Important Guest StarsNone My Thoughts about the ShowNote: The 2nd Part is even weaker than the 1st except one scene. Riddler and his gang were discussing what to do next, and they all decided to steal the lost treasures of the Incas and I've watched this show twice and still can't figure out what to say here and it's all a blur and it's one of the worst plots I've ever think of. So, the Dynamic Duo head to the Museum of where the Lost Treasures of the Incas is at and the doors were locked and Robin volunteered to climb up and go through a open window and come down and open the door for Batman. Robin was eventually overpowered by two of the Riddler's men and suddenly he was captured and Batman got a bit worried and decided to go after Robin and ... suddenly Riddler found his prize the Treasures that he is seeking for and gleefully went after it in joy and happiness and before that Robin told the Riddler a lie that Batman was killed in that Candle Wax Explosion in the previous show and he is the sole survivor of the Dynamic Duo. Then, a few second later ... Batman appears and in his famous Bat Shadow and Menacing Form of using his Cape to strike fear to the Riddler and this scene was considered the best scene in this show and all the Riddler's Men were (including Moth) captured and locked in the most terrible devices of torture of yesteryears that foiled the Prince of Puzzlers. Eventually, Batman warns the Riddler did your Mother ever warn you not to play with your knives and finally the Caped Crusader finally captured the Riddler and the Treasure were safe. The problem with this show I never, ever got to see the Treasures that the Riddler was after and the whole thing and that's bothers me a lot. Then later on Bruce, Dick, and Aunt Harriet visit the Museum and the show came to a close. BatsI did not enjoy watching these two shows at all and I had a hard time watching this and I wished that I did a better job writing it up and I had to give it 2 Bats for it's horrible way this show has made.

codystarbuck - Here's her entire career listed here in Internet Movie Database and most of it in the sixties. I only saw her in Bewitched, Green Hornet, Room 222, and Love American Style.

@mechagodzilla Wow tough reviews. I wanted to watch the episodes as you reviewed them but I had to give that up. I have no time. I have been watching The Flash (2014) Seasons 1-3 with the young man we are adopting to catch him up.
Anyway I don't remember these episodes so they were probably as bad as you said. It's rough doing reviews of stuff you don't enjoy. However I am LOVING this review thread. Thanks again for this thread!

Was Moth a real DC Batman villainess, or was she just made up for the TV show?

Was Moth a real DC Batman villainess, or was she just made up for the TV show? Killer Moth, who was a villain from the comic, was used in the short pilot film for Batgirl
