There may already be threads for some of these individual films but I thought we could use a place to discuss and rank all of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies as there are so many of them. I've found it difficult to keep up with just how many and how often these are being produced. Initially I felt some of these were quite good but it seems the more frequently they put them out the more the quality of the story telling suffers. I've watched and own quite a few of these and I'm wondering who else tries to keep up with them. What are some of your favorites and how would you rank them? Which ones did you dislike? The last trailer I watched for one was Teen Titans: The Judas Contract which looked decent. The last one I actually watched was Batman: The Killing Joke which was just an incredibly awful adaption. I recommend avoiding this one whether you've read the story or not. The last two I bought were Son of Batman and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox which I felt were okay but really didn't care for the generic anime look of the animation. I've been considering picking up Justice League: Gods and Monsters and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis but am hesitant to buy another Blu-ray before I'm sure about the quality of the film. One thing I do like about the Blu-ray is the bonus content. Often they will come with full episodes of various animated series such as Justice League Unlimited, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and even Batman: The Animated Series. That's the kind of stuff that can really get me to invest in a Blu-ray set. Favorite DC Animated Films- Justice League: The New Frontier
- Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
- Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

My favorite DC animated movie is still Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
In fact, I still consider it the best Batman movie, period.

I've got a few of them... I was buying them on clearance when BJs would sell them for $5 each. I remember liking the Wonder Woman origin.. didn't like the Green Lantern or JLA one as much. Dark Knight returns was quite good.
I decided to pass on Judas Contract.. it's just can't be the same with all the characer substitions, so it'll just annoy me.

I really need to rewatch Mask of the Phantasm to rank it properly. I haven't watched it in well over a decade.

Always thought of Mask of the Phantasm as the beginning of the DC animated movies! Best way to start up a series with an incredible story and animation. Most of the movies are all interesting but seem fairly average I thought or deviate too far from the original stories in the comics. Stand outs for me are Crisis on Two Earths, New Frontier, Public Enemies, Under the Red Hood and Gods and Monsters.
Below is the list for those interested in looking them up:
Superman: Doomsday
Justice League: The New Frontier
Batman: Gotham Knight
Wonder Woman
Green Lantern: First Flight
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
All-Star Superman
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
Batman: Year One
Justice League: Doom
Superman vs. The Elite
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
Superman: Unbound
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
Justice League: War
Son of Batman
Batman: Assault on Arkham
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
Batman vs. Robin
Justice League: Gods and Monsters
Batman: Bad Blood
Justice League vs. Teen Titans
Batman: The Killing Joke
Justice League Dark
Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

There's a trailer out for the upcoming Batman and Harley Quinn animated film and I can't say I was all that impressed by it but it does seem to have some positive things going for it. I thought it was exciting to see Harley wearing her classic cartoon costume and I'm glad to see the movie has a Bruce Timm animation style vibe. It's also nice to hear Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester return as the voices of Batman and Nightwing. This also looks like it may be the first animated appearance of Floronic Man.

That looks pretty decent... though having Swamp THing as a bad guy is weird (That did say Alec Holland).. unless it's a bait and switch kinda thing in the preview.

Can't wait for batman vs. Two-Face, even if it'll be a little bittersweet. And I'm hoping to get Mask of the Phantasm on blu-ray soon. Just have to put together an Amazon order.

I really need to rewatch Mask of the Phantasm to rank it properly. I haven't watched it in well over a decade. Same here. The re-release on blu-ray sounds sweet cause lord knows where my VHS copy of this film is at right now. Till then, my favorite Batman animated film is Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. The tragedy that Tim Drake endures plus the examinations of the relationship between Joker and Bruce & then Joker and Terry really help to elevate the drama and tension.
