Amy Reeder did amazing work on Madame Xanadu (has she done anything since?)
I also like Amanda Conner and Becky Cloonan a lot.

All do amazing work, and to which you have to add Fiona Staples whose Saga work is utterly beautiful. Love to see Becky Cloonan and Kelly Sue do a book together. Oh Dan...hate to upset you...snigger...but I always found Robbins women to be quite sexy, especially Nightshade (?) in his Captain America run.

Bad -- Jack KirbyStarlin's art for my first read I didn't like almost all the way through. I've gotten to enjoy his art when it's something he's written or his own creations. But his women still need a few curves. They are really flat I guess I would say. We're going to have to agree to disagree with this. I appreciate Kirby's women for the fact that they aren't drawn to be super thin and perfect. At least, not the women in the books I've read/seen that he's done the art on.

I've no problem with his gal's bodies, it's the faces. His Sif or Barda from the neck down, are fine, it's his faces (male and female) that turn me off from his work mostly.

I'm with coldwater on this, I think Kirby drew beautiful women, facially, but also love that they dont look like barby dolls. His Big Barda has always been one of the sexiest women in comics to me.

Yeah, very much so - to the point that I can't think of any other artists' versions of that character that capture what was so appealing about Kirby's, including the way he drew her face. It isn't just a matter of making her tall, which is about all the thought most artists seem to put into it.

This just jumped onto my, "to buy" list! There's a TPB collecting the first five issues out. Unfortunately issue #6 keeps getting pushed back. Originally it was planned for September then it was pushed to November, now it's scheduled for May. Looks like it's scheduled to come out bi-monthly in 2015.

I dunno...this Kirby rendering has always freaked me out.
