I'm with coldwater on this, I think Kirby drew beautiful women, facially, but also love that they dont look like barby dolls. His Big Barda has always been one of the sexiest women in comics to me. I dunno...this Kirby rendering has always freaked me out. Oh, I think you're supposed to be freaked out by that one. Not that I disagree that Kirby's renderings of women, as of everyone and everything else, were highly stylised and therefore may not be to every reader's taste.

The artwork on those two Rocket girl covers does look excellent. Stories with juvenile leads don't appeal to me so I probably won't read this particular series, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of the artist's work.

O.M.A.C. #1 kind of freaked me out when I first saw it back in the 1970s. But nowadays I'm more and more curious about the whole series and I may start looking into it if I ever finish my Kamandi collection.

The Rocket Girl covers just reminded me of Little Red Hot Bound and Little Red Hot: Chane of Fools by Dawn Brown. I really like her art in general but it was the art that got me to get the issues and ended up liking the stories and characters. Ravenous is the best of her work I've read as far as the story goes. A nice take on Poe's Gothic work.
