Number 99Ms. Marvel from Marvel Comics Bold and very Striking Logo that captures your fancy and I've always find it an eye-grabber that really makes you pay attention to. The Red combines with the black background does the work just perfectly. This is the only logo of her kind that cracks in the top 100 and ... I know there are others Ms. Marvel and nothing really grabbed my attention like this logo here. With this logo, I hardly see our heroine here nor the villainess by the name of Death Bird ... that she is going after here but it's an excellent logo that does the work for me. I have fumbled on this logo as high as #70 at one time because of the boldness and after several weeks of looking at it and it went from #70 down to #99 and at one time ... I even had it even with Zatanna who was listed at #101. My Zatanna at #101 should had been here but the dark and moody logo lost out and this one was stuck at #99 one step higher than Black Lightning and the reason that this logo beat out Black Lightning is the fact that this logo is bright and commands a presence more to me than that one that I started out at #100. I know it's a difficult decision here ... but, I'm sticking this one out! #98, tomorrow!

Number 98Action Comics from DC Comics One of the most popular and historical logos of all times and graced the one the greatest heroes - Superman on the cover of Action Comics. It's iconic beyond measures ... It's an attractive logo that endures the test of times and I feel embarrassed to place it at #98 and after this logo been around so long it's a logo that sets the trends for future logos and this is the Grandfather of all Logos that DC Comics put together! ... Red makes a presentation here and that's works for me just right! Bold, makes a statement and it's has that retro look and works for DC Comics for a long, long time. Love this logo and it's seeks attention and grabs your eyes and that's makes it a wonderful logo for all its worth. Loved the lettering in "Comics" and the "A" and the "N" of Action ... really pops your attention quite gracefully! You just can't go wrong with this one! Note: I've might have power outages tomorrow and that's why I'm doing Action Comics today for that reason alone. #97 will comes sometimes on Sunday and I need time to think about it.

Number 97Phoenix Resurrection from Marvel Comics I want to bring your attention the cover of the book it's has the Word ... "Resurrection" on it and when I started this project - I was this logo on top without that word and I don't recall seeing without that R-Word and it's bother me a whole lot because I never, ever seen one without it. When, I was looking for that Cover without that R-Word - there isn't any one that has it and that's killed the cover with that R-Word in place. If I had seen one without it; I would rate it higher at Number #80 and that's the best that I can do here and this logo with that R-Word brought it down. I like this logo because it's contemporary, very modern, very cool, and very unique and that's the beauty of this neat logo and that R-Word just not acceptable and makes it very odd and not cool at all. I just don't care the size of the lettering and that's make it hard to read from the distance and that's is a no-no in my book. So, that logo is at Number #97.

The Action Comics logo is indeed iconic, and I never even knew of the existence of that Phoenix comic, but it is a very cool logo.

Number 96Wonder Woman from DC Comics I've two more Wonder Woman logos that I've liked this one is safely squared away at #96. This one is truly legendary and I've liked about this logo is the oversized "W" in Wonder & Woman that's makes it cool ... there are a blue one and a yellow one and I felt that the Red is the best of the three that I've seen so far. I just felt that the Blue One is not my cup of tea and the Yellow One is too plain looking and rather not to my standards. The Red Lettering with the Dark Blue Trim is a noble, exciting, and it's attracts your attention to it. That's why I always prefer this logo more than anything else in the world. The Red stands out more than these two combined! That's why I prefer the Red ... Over the Yellow and the Blue together! #95 ... tomorrow morning!

Number 95Superboy from DC Comics Superboy Logo is similar to the Wonder Woman logo above you and I like it for what it's worth. It's a classic by itself and the only logo that I like of this character. I just don't care for the others except this one below you and i just find that it's looks too orange from the distance. The one on top is the best of the best. There are so many to choose from, I'm sticking with this one for the time being. I've find the blue trim just like Wonder Woman looks best and foremost the most attractive of all the logos that I've seen. Here's an example of that logo works best in a Comic Book. Superboy needs to be a different kind of a logo and I felt that this version is an overkill of the Superman's legacy and that why I have problems with any kind of these at all. Too many of these kinds out their ... it's problematic for me.

At the thread originator's request, MechaGodzilla, I'm locking the thread (reluctantly). I was informed by Hondobrode that this thread can't be unlocked at all and having said that ... I have to let it go by the forum decision to remain unlocked. Now, back to business ... I'm resuming this thread and may take me another 1-2 months to get all the logos covered. I just in an quandary of how I'm going to get all in and I'm to try my best to make it work here. I have many things on my mind lately and I just going to try to do what I can here and having said that it's going to take awhile to get it done. So, I'm resuming this thread once again ...

Number 94Mister Miracle from DC Comics First of all, this logo and the lettering style of both Mister and Miracle are top notch and beautifully crafted ... the main problem why this logo isn't any higher because its too plain looking and that drives it down to 94. Another factor of this logo is down at 94 ... is the words Super Escape Artist and that's alone clutter space. To me, too many words makes my head cringe and you want to keep it simple and elegant if they did not add those three words and left it alone it would had gone up 10 to 15 notches and that's why I just don't care for it. Another factor, I prefer the green background and the white lettering for visual impact and that alone makes his costume stands out just right and that's why I liked this Comic Book more than any other Comic Book that DC Comics made for this character. All others ... I just don't care for and that's why I like this version the best. I bought a lot of these comics in my early days and this character is one of my favorites and glad Jack Kirby created him for DC Comics and I was stunned when he left Marvel Comics to do this character for DC Comics. The logo is just darn good and I wished they cut down the words ... it's bold, the lettering is perfect, and I have a respect for Jack Kirby creating him in the first place. #93, possible in a day or two ...

Numbers 90, 91, 92, and 93Detective Comics from DC Comics I know that all of you are shocked to see this ... I've four logos all on the same page and equalled rank and I'm very torn apart by these logos here and I've wanted to say thanks to Hoosier X for sharing these logos on several of his posts and jarred my memory banks and I've just loved these logos and I'm totally against having many words in a logo and these four here have a great impact on my reading as a youth seeing these beauties. The colors, the style, and the bottom two are just gems ... I loved the figures of Batman, Batgirl, and Robin incorporated into the logos and that alone makes it unique. The top two with the cape of Batman being done so stylishly is a stunning logo and just had a hard time of deciding which one of these are the best of the two and the bottom two logos are just as good as the top two logos ... and that alone gave me great quandary of which one at #90 to #93. To me, I'm torn apart about this and that's why I've just having a hard time judging these logos and that's why it is important to recognize them and admire them all on the same post like this. These logos are so darn classic and I've just wanted to let all of you know that DC Comics did a great job creating these logos and making a huge impact on my readings. I've read a lot of Detective Comics that starred Batman and Batgirl and Batman and Robin on equal terms ... because these logos that they created made an impact on my life. The other two on top did the same thing and that's made it even more difficult for me to judge which one is the best one and that's how I've came to this conclusion that all four of them should be shown together and not be judge of which one is the better one here. It's the decision that I've came to my judgment a week ago when I've decided to do this today. Seeing four logos in one ranking is the right thing to do and I'm proud to make it today! Next one on Sunday, hours before Super Bowl Game between the Eagles and the Patriots! And, again thanks HoosierX for sharing these logos and jarring my Memory Banks!

Number 89The Punisher from Marvel ComicsThis one isn't acceptable to me The top one is acceptable and the bottom one is not. I don't like the bottom one because it's has a symbol in it and that's why the bottom one won't work for me here. I know there are different varieties of this logo and in different colors and schemes and the only one that work for me is the black and white version here. I just find this logo very striking and I wished that they did a better job with one of the letters here and that the "U" here and it's doesn't look good to me and the "N" next to it brought it down too. That's why I just can't rate it any higher than #89. The word "THE" is acceptable to me and along with the letter "P" and "R" at the end makes this a very bold and striking logo to look at. It's done just right for this character and the colors that they used is just fantastic. I just find it very pleasing to look at and again ... the symbol in the 2nd picture is a no-no in my book. I love this logo for this character and the only one that's works for me!

The more I think about it, the more impressed I am with that Superboy logo. DC could have simply just reworded their traditional 'Superman' logo and made do with that but instead they came up with something original. I also can't help but note that for something which was created in 1949, it has a nice Silver Age look to it; it isn't blocky, big, or splashy but instead conveys energy more than it does strength - something which suits a junior Superman.
The bottom two Detective Comics logos are a different matter however. In my opinion, it just doesn't feel as if DC had confidence in its appearance. "Should we draw attention to 'Detective Comics' or 'Batman' and hey, why not toss in Batgirl and Robin's names while we're at it? Yeah, that's what we'll do, just cram everything in there and make the Batman logo around it as large as we need to so that it fits".
Even though the logo is presumably meant to be the 'Detective Comics' logo, DC has decided to downplay the very title of the comic so that they could shoehorn Batman and his co-star's name in there as well. The fact that the names are at an angle doesn't lend a lot of symmetry to an already busy cover or the fact that there isn't anything unique about the font used. It conveys information sure, but not really style. I do like the addition of the two characters however.
I like the top 'Detective Comics' in your post though. I think 'Batman's Detective Comics' is redundant since Batman himself is already drawn into the logo but I'm also someone who thinks it's somewhat redundant for Batman to have a Batman emblem on his chest when the Bat-ears, Bat-gauntlets, and Bat-Cape should make it clear what he's trying to be.
