I already voted and posted earlier in this thread, but other cover artists high on my list of favorites are L.B. Cole and Matt Baker, although they also did some of the interior art and not just the covers. I love Alex Schomburg's covers too. And then there's William Ekgren, who's in a class by himself IMO. In fact I first learned about Ekgren from this very board, during one of the earliest Cover Contests I ever participated in. Thanks MDG and CCF! These weren't conceived as comic book covers, but they are spellbinding.

Matt Baker's a good call. If I hadn't been focusing on Silver Age and later, might've thought of Lou Fine, Bob Lubbers, and Reed Crandall. And Mac Raboy.

I would have put down Jim Aparo but he usually did the interior art also. Same with Byrne & several others.

I picked Neal Adams for his legendary DC covers and Brain Bolland who just sold many a bad book with his cover work alone.

Brian Bolland and Alex Ross, no question.
Garcia-Lopez is a close third.
