Target was carrying Catman, but not Spaceman (and wanted $29 for Catman). . . so I went to Amazon.
where I found "official" Catman for $22, and Spaceman thru a 3rd party seller for $29. . so averaging the two at ~$25 each minus my cashback discount from Discover, I pulled the trigger so I would have the full set.
I'm wary about that 3rd party seller, as the Spaceman had 1 review only, and it was a 1star, warning that the back of the card was blank. but since I'm buying to display, not necessarily to resell, I don't care if it's a bootleg or not. so went ahead and bought it.

Wave 8 has hit preorders on places like Big Bad Toy Store. Wave 7 is hitting Target and Walmart.com now, so wave 8 looks to be January.
It looks like this will be wave 8's figures...
plus possible 14 inch versions of Dracula and Frankenstein (and maybe Shazam).

And maybe Mr. Hyde. I've pretty much decided I'm just in it for the monsters at this point.

That's the one I was thinking of. For some reason I thought it was a custom. I really dig that one.

Availability update for those seeking new Megos... Megos are now available in select Walmart locations in the collectibles section (usually in electronics). The list of Walmarts that will carry them is located here in this article on the Mego Museum page. They will be carrying wave 7 (Lord of the Rings, Star Trek Wrath of Khan, horror)and future waves, but will not get previously released waves. They are being placed in stock this week and next. Some are listed on the Walmart.com website (make sure you filter out 3rd party sellers) and are available for free store pick up or can be shipped. Slam_Bradley there are 2 Walmarts in Idaho (Idaho Falls and Garden City) listed as carrying them if you were still interested, but I am not sure where those are in relation to you. Surprisingly, both the Walmarts in town here are carrying them, and the trend seems to be that it is more rural and suburban locations carry them, not those in major cities. Wave 8 is up for preorder at sites like Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store. If you have access to a Think Geek Store, they are carrying Mego Wave 6, and are starting to mark down some of them to $9.99 (This wave has horror, Trek, Bruce Lee, Elvis etc.). Target is supposedly carrying Wave 7 as well, now in the collectibles section in electronics rather than in the toy aisles. Some seem to have them in stock, but not all and it is hit or miss as to which ones. -M

^ I now have all 4 members of KISS. . . so unless they do a Fox (Eric Carr) or Ankh Warrior (Vinnie Vincent).. probably won't get any more of these.

There's allegedly a 14 inch set of Mego Kiss figures in the works. They were previewed at Toy Fair, but I haven't heard anything else about the 14 inch lines since. -M

If you know of any other Kiss fans looking for these, the Ace and Catman figures have been hitting Walmart the past week...this is form one in Orlando... Megos are in the electronic section with the collectibles rather than in the toy aisle in Walmart, and not every Walmart is carrying them, but there are several that are. -M

First look at the prototypes for Picard and Data in the next wave of Mego releases-these are prototypes no production releases so nits to be picked will be fixed (Data's hands will match the color of his face in production, they will have Star Fleet insignia on the uniforms etc.) right now the ave is projected to have a May release. -M

Mego display at Toy Fair 2020... it's small, but you can see the 8 inch DC prototypes atop the super-hero section and some of the new Trek prototypes (Q from TNG) if you look closely. The six 8 inch DC characters look to be Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern (John Stewart) allegedly based on the animated series desgns, and a modern Harley Quinn (i.e. current look not Batman: TAS, though the 14 inch Harley they previously released was the animated look). -M

Here's a clearer look at the DC prototypes for the 8 inch line. Mego has the JLU license, and a Birds of Prey license, not a general DC license in the 8 inch scale, so the looks and characters are going ot be specific to those. These are protoypes, not finished figures, and are still awaiting final approval from WB/AT&T so changes could be forthcoming... -M

So those 8 inch DC Megos are going to be released in September. However, the only retailer carrying them so far is Meijer's, so unless you are in one fo the half dozen states that Meijer's operates in, you might have to rely on secondary sellers. However, there is hope more retailers will be announced in the upcoming weeks as the announcement of the release just happened today. Here's a look at a production version of Batman released with the announcement today... -M

I hadn't purchased any Mego's for some time, but just was feeling nostalgic and pulled the trigger on The Fly (blue tie version), Mr. Hyde, Stan Lee and a Wave 6 Frankenstein. I tend to get into the mood close to Halloween.
