There's a thread for horror covers, homages, splash pages and comic scans but I'd like to see and discuss people's favorite science fiction covers from comics, magazines and even pulp paper backs. If it has aliens, robots, monsters, laser guns, future dystopias, far out worlds, space ships or all of the above post it here!

On a semi related note... I find science fiction stories from 100 years charming and more "elegant" than current stories. For example I enjoy ERB's John Carter on Mars and books like Weir's "The Martian" but ERB's story has a certain charm. Weir's story is very good but it is too technical at times. I also like Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy but it too had a tendency to be technical. Anyone else feel the same way?

I can't see any of Jesse's images (even tried opening the page on a different browser). Anyone having the same problem, or know how to get around it?

Yep, I'm in Europe, so I guess that explains it. Thanks, Søren.

Yep, I'm in Europe, so I guess that explains it. Thanks, Søren. Work around I found is to copy the image url (can quote to get it) into a Google search by image, should find the image if it hosted more then one place Assume it the same as posted at least most times

Apparently those aliens also decided to mess around with the eastern coastline of Canada. What happened to Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia?
Regarding the different eras of science fiction, I love the planetary romances of ERB but I like "hard" SF too. It all depends on the mood I'm in. Haven't (and probably won't ever) read Weir's book but I thought Robinson's Mars trilogy was well worth the time invested in reading it.

That Mystery in Space spaceship sure looks familiar. One of the all time best sci fi covers.
