lots of really great covers! and tho I like BrianF's KISS cover, the lack of background keeps it from winning for me. (and since can't vote for my own ). . I'll go with: Icctrombonebut lots of great covers!

I'll go with: Icctrombonebut lots of great covers! Technically the rules don't forbid you from voting for own cover. It's just regarded as poor form.

MDG. His cover turned my face grey. And then my leg came apart at the knee.

Chris
Unique contest this week and I think his cover best captures both elements.
Thanks. I thought it was like Reese's cups.... combine two cool things into one awesome thing.

Really really tough choice here. As much as I wanted to vote for mrp - the idea of Married... with Children in 2099 just cracks me up, and seeing Peg Bundy as an inaction figure is funny too* - that Detective Comics cover is just too cool.
This raises a question, though. Can the same person win two weeks in a row?
* Couch and bon bons should be included.

Technically the contest starter ie eligible to be voted for and can win 2 (or more) weeks in a row, but it's tradition to share the wealth. I know contest starters have gotten votes, not sure if anyone has won 2 weeks in a row here off hand. -M

Since I started keeping track of the winning covers in the Hall of fame thread, no one has won two weeks in a row. It might have happened in the cbr version before the crisis occurred.

Since I started keeping track of the winning covers in the Hall of fame thread, no one has won two weeks in a row. It might have happened in the cbr version before the crisis occurred. If someone wins a contest; I've thought it would be impossible to do to win it again after having the "rights" to start the next contest. To me, it would unethical for that person to win the next contest -- if that would happen I would be shocked to see that. It's would be totally unfair ... figure of speech here. That's only my opinion ...

A clear winner this week, but the rest of the votes were tightly clustered.
Oooh! Our winner is chaykinstevens with 4 votes. Toying with victory, but falling short, are Icctrombone, foxley, Phil Maurice, chris, kirby 101, Prince Hal, outsider, codystarbuck, and MDG, all of whom scored 2 votes. And figuring in the voting are Crimebuster and Transcendental Mental, with 1 vote apiece.

That's only my opinion ... un·eth·i·cal /ˌənˈeTHək(ə)l/Submit adjective not morally correct. "it is unethical to torment any creature for entertainment" synonyms: immoral, amoral, unprincipled, unscrupulous, dishonorable, dishonest, wrong, deceitful, unconscionable, unfair, fraudulent, underhanded, wicked, evil, sneaky, corrupt; More
It would not be unethical. You wouldn't like it, but the OP wouldn't be doing anything wrong. But I think there's an aversion for most voters to pick the previous weeks winner anyway.
