Y'know, the OP could also rig the contest to assure two wins in a row: "Favorite Issue of Talos of the Wilderness Sea--I'll start things out with issue 1..."

Congrats to chaykinstevens. Can't go wrong with Barry W Smith.

Nice win, chaykinstevens for that great cover -- I would mentioned you as a Honorable Mention and went to Icctrombone instead for that creativity instead.

Well, now I know what I'm gonna do if I ever win one of these: Talos it is! (Of course, knowing my luck, foxley will find the cover to some obscure, French edition featuring one of those scantily clad women that Kane drew so well...)

FarrarReally really tough choice here. As much as I wanted to vote for mrp - the idea of Married... with Children in 2099 just cracks me up, and seeing Peg Bundy as an inaction figure is funny too* - that Detective Comics cover is just too cool. This raises a question, though. Can the same person win two weeks in a row? * Couch and bon bons should be included. Hey thanks Chris--I didn't even know I'd gotten a vote until I read your post just now, since my name wasn't mentioned in the tally vote and I had checked that first! But very glad you liked that Batgirl cover--it's a timeless classic, isn't it? And as for voting/not voting for the previous winner/OP's cover: I remember a time not too long ago when I, as the OP and contest starter, was excoriated by a poster or two regarding my cover choice, which admittedly was a tried-and-true classic for whatever theme I'd chosen. One or two posters chided me: "You're not supposed to pick a good cover, Farrar!" LOL, I vowed to pick a worse cover "next time." Anyway, IMHO I have always looked at the contest winner-starter/OP as someone who is graciously handing over the baton to a new person. So I agree with those who abide by the unwritten rule that the OP's submission is essentially an example just to get the new contest started off on the right foot. Just my two cents.
