Thought some international data might be interesting for this thread. Here in the UK, petrol is sold in litres. Based on how many litres there are in a U.S. gallon, the unleaded petrol from the petrol station nearest my home would cost £4.88 ($7.84 USD) per gallon.

Saw fuel for $3.31 the other day, with premium at $3.51, cheapest I've seen so far.

Got some gas for $3.09 the other day. Don't remember seeing it that cheap for many years.

BTW, whereabouts in the UK do you live? I'm in south Buckinghamshire and as posted above, it's currently £1.29 per litre at the garage nearest to me.

I was out of town yesterday for a work retreat, so I was about 2 hours north of my house in a fairly rural area. Price of a gallon of 87 up there was $2.99, while it is still $3.25 at the place close to my house. Same state, way different prices just about 85 miles apart.

Swing and roundabouts - fuel costs us 3x as much to drive to the doctor, but once there it costs them $937 trillion (approx) to be treated and us maybe £8/£13 for a prescription. I'm in West-ish London

Right now it's $2.71 for a gallon of regular. This is the lowest it has been in years.

Try $2.20 per litre, which is approx $6.60 a gallon after conversion (well in my head it is anyway).

Saw fuel for $3.31 the other day, with premium at $3.51, cheapest I've seen so far. This was so recently, now many stations have fuel for under $3. I'm still paying between $3.15 and $3.25 for premium, but now I'm topping off from half a tank with $10 or $15 instead of $20.
