I'm down to 2.69 and I'm loving it. I was looking at a graph online that said gas was less than 2 bucks back in 2008 but I don't remember them being that low.

I'm down to 2.69 and I'm loving it. I was looking at a graph online that said gas was less than 2 bucks back in 2008 but I don't remember them being that low. Very shortly, a couple weeks, maybe a month, right as the election was winding down. There was a conspiracy theory that oil companies slashed prices to make Bush not look so bad so the Republicans could win another election. They immediately shot back up after the election too, which is what I imagine they will do this time. Not that I think it has anything to do with a conspiracy theory or anything. But we better enjoy the cheap gas while we can, plan a road trip.

Down to $2.67 a gallon a gas ... with my discount it's a whopping $2.57 a gallon - so I filled it to the top and I was stunned knowing it's dropped 80 cents a gallon in 90 days.

$2.65 by my work, with premium at $2.88 or around there if I remember correctly. Cheapest premium I've seen anywhere.

Damned Obama!
"As he campaigns for president, Mitt Romney is ratcheting up his attacks on Barack Obama over high gas prices, putting the issue at the center of his economic message. He is calling for Obama to fire his Energy secretary, EPA administrator, and Interior secretary, saying they are to blame for high prices at the pump. 'No question in my mind that these—I call them the gas-hike trio—that those three are on a mission to drive up the price of gasoline and all energy so that they can finally get their solar and their wind to be more price-competitive. That’s what they want to do,' Romney said on Monday."

Gas prices haven't changed much here lately, I think $2.49 is the lowest I've seen in town. There's a truck stop out at the outskirts of civilization that tends to run a few cents cheaper but I haven't gone out that way lately.
