$1.64 and $1.49??? Where is that at?
I am in Southern New Jersey(15 minutes from South Philadelphia) and the prices are around $2.05 a gallon for regular and $2.55 a gallon for Citgo and Sunoco 93 octane(which I have to use)

Here in the Milwaukee area, I saw a couple of places this morning that were at $1.95. I could have sworn I'd never see gas below $2 in my lifetime, but I've been proven wrong.

$1.95 for premium, so with the discount it's $1.45.

It's down to $2.13 a gallon with my .10 cent discount - gasoline is $2.03 a gallon, I've just picked up neighbor from the airport and before I picked him up - I got gas and I was shocked to see how low it was.
$2.13 a gallon.

Oil is back to $50.00 a barrel, and it's has the potential of going as high as $200 a barrel in the near future. I can see that in 5-7 years down the road. See Article Link for more information. From USA Today

We're back up to $2.19 in suburban Milwaukee area. Still a whole lot cheaper than it was, but paying less than $2.00 a gallon sure was nice.

From USA TodayThey've been saying that for a decade or more. But every time gas prices top $4 our congress threatens investigations and presidential candidates start promising price cap legislature. Then the cost per barrel miraculously drops again. Anyway, yeah the other day gas rose quickly. It had been $2.13 for a week or so. Then I saw it was back to $2.15 and thought no big deal. So on my way back into town the same gas station had it somewhere around $2.22, just about two hours later.
