This was one of the most difficult contests of all, as 1975 was a stellar year in covers. But one must be THE pick, and so I choose:
Graphic Autist. Aparo--the true successor to Neal Adams as a master Batman artist--delivered an instantly iconic cover, and one of the most memorable Batman poses ever put on a cover. The darkness, action and thrills are all there, including the then-throwback use of villains' heads in the Bat-signal.
Honorable mention: EdoBosnar - In the early-mid 1970s, DC smashed the competition (with the exception of Warren) where mystery was concerned, and this beautiful cover for The Shadow is a fine example of how they achieved the strange and modernizing of its pulp roots, where it could be at right at home in the DC universe.
james. The cover of The Amazing Spider-Man featured one of the greatest artist combinations (arguably top three list) in the medium's history at the height of their artistic powers. Spider-Man was never as...well, amazing, and at his best before their arrival on the title, or after their departure.
