Tonight's episode can be summed up in one syllable: meh. It was boring for the most part, though the final scene has me intrigued as to what they have planned.

I "kind of" liked the first episode, but I REALLY, REALLY liked the second one. I am hooked. When Barry kept on having his fainting spells I had this urge to shout out, "If you would just go visit your dad in prison, he could tell you what is wrong from when he was the Flash back in the '90's. GO EAT SOMETHING!!!!!" I liked Multiplex. I felt bad for him when he revealed his motivation to get revenge on Stagg. Cisco Ramone seriously needs a haircut. I was very surprised at the ending of the show. I wonder what they have planned? I have always been (and will continue to be) a Jay Garrick fan, but I am totally on board for this version of the Flash.

Heh...Simon Stagg, Java, Ronnie, Multiplex... I kept looking for Rex, but I'm told there is something called Metamorpho Chemical over on the Green Arrow show.

I liked episode episode two as well. I think I'll be around for the whole season.

Second week ratings from TVbythenumbers
Flash and Agents of SHIELD both do a 1.7/5 rating. Flash ranked third in its time slot. Suffice to say, the Cancellation Bear is going to have a hard time catching the Flash.

I'm also a huge Jay Garrick Fan and I look forward to seeing him on the show (Maybe not this season necessarily and certainly not Full-Time) Now the question is What Jay Garrick will we get if/when he is brought in? Classic Jay Garrick a Generation or two older perhaps played by someone like Bruce Greenwood?) New 52 Jay Garrick (closer to Barry's Age, Given his powers by a dying God etc...maybe played by Smallville's Kyle (Bart Allen) Gallner?) or some mixture between the two?

Really likening this so far. Surprising but not surprising they went with Firestorm villain like Mutliplex. But then again Firestorm is suppose to show up in the series. And just when might we see Dr. Snow become Killer Frost? or maybe she won't. But liking all the little hidden easter eggs in this...and to use Simon Stagg well you just know Metamorpho will show(possibly soon given next week's preview).

It'd be weird to have Rex without Stagg now.

Episode 3 "Things You Can't Outrun" was decent. What kind of restaurant has bullet proof windows? I liked the reference to the Flash Museum. Nice showing of The Mist's powers and the actor that played him was pretty creepy. Firestorm origin story sort of. Jesse L. Martin is good as Detective West. Really enjoying Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Wells and I think his story is by far the most interesting thing going on. The only thing I'm not really enjoying is some of the drama feels really forced which honestly I except from CW. Looking forward to Captain Cold next week!

I just watched part of a Flash after show that discussed Episode two of the new series and so many people seem dead set on making Harrison Wells as a TV-ized Hunter Zolomon (Zoom II) and Eddie Thawne as Reverse Flash that they're just attaching names and circumstances arbitrarily. That said I have decided to take a look at each character Cisco Ramone (Vibe) for all intents and purposes Cisco has yet to display any latent super-powers stemming from the particle accelerator explosion. which means most likely that Cisco doesn't get his powers from the initial incident but rather as result of something that happens later.
Kaitlyn Snow (Killer Frost) How does she go bad? seemingly Ronnie's upcoming return from death would more likely cause her to be a happier person. therefore the only logical source of her "turn" would be for Ronnie to dump her or for his prolonged disappearance and return to be such a cause of pain 9how could you stay away from me for so long?!?" etc...) that it causes her to have an emotional breakdown.
Eddie Thawne (Detective Pretty Boy) I really don't think Eddie has anything more personal connecting him to reverse Flash than the name. In all honesty, Eddie may be Reverse Flash's Ancestor but certain stories in recent years had shown that Eobard Thawne was the bad egg in an otherwise good family. I'm inclined to believe that when push comes to shove Eddie will side against Rev. Flash rather than team up with him.
Harrison Wells So many people are convinced he's elither a version of Hunter Zolomon or Eobard Thawne in disguise. (for a while it was also suggested he might even be a future version of Barry Allen. (His "It feels like I've been waiting for this moment for centuries" comment almost made me think he was a take on Vandal Savage) However, i now have a new theory. Suppose for a moment that Wells is actually a Monitor. (not the anti-Monitor mind you) as such he would have a Time viewer that would show him the future or past or even the present day occurrences.also, Monitors are almost OCD about the Big picture as opposed to the little people who make up t's parts. as a result killing someone he sees as a clear and present danger to Barry is fine because he knows that Barry's destiny is to save the universe and that he must do whatever it takes to safeguard Barry's life and career to make sure Barry lives up to his pre-destine moment of truth.

So am I finding the series entertaining enough so far but three episodes in and I'm disappointed that we haven't been able to get away from the "villain of the week" trope. I understand that a superpowered hero needs to have superpowered villains in order to challenge him, but would it kill them to mix it up a bit and have some non-superpowered threats between the metahuman ones?
