I'd need to see more images of that monstrosity, but does she have Superman's S-shaped curl on her forehead, to complement the W-shaped broach?

Iron Man's nose was a result of people misinterpreting a comment from Stan. He looked at some panels that showed Tony's eyes right behind the mask. If the mask is flat, his eyes would have to be an inch or two back to leave room for his nose under the mask. So Stan says to someone, "it looks like he has no nose". And they dutifully added a nose to the mask for a while. See goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2010/05/27/comic-book-legends-revealed-262/.

Huntress and Black Canary! So bad! Black Canary's giant leather coat was even worse. Ed Benes, there you go. The bad costumes are to hide the fact that he begins drawing giant circular boobs with a compass, then makes a feeble attempt at conveying motion within his panels. The guy is sub-sub-sub Jim Lee, and I don't have much use for Lee's art, either. It astonishes me that his work is so popular. The underlined part is most likely the reason for the bolded part.

Anyway my nominee: I don't know what's worse, the colours or the suspenders.

That's only when he's not stealing his layouts from upskirts.com.

For me, it's all the superfluous lines that not only don't seem to add much to the designs, but in some cases actually detract from them. '90s style busywork.

See, I go the other way. Although I enjoy Justice, Kingdom Come and those big one shots for Superman, WW, Batman and Captain Marvel I do so almost inspite of the art not because of it as those don't look like super heroes to me, they look like people cosplaying as heroes. I've never read an Alex Ross illustrated book because of the art, and your cosplay comment is exactly why. I think his stuff looks so real it becomes less believable as a comic. Like I feel like I'm flipping through a book of cosplayers recreating comics.

Definitely the suspenders on that Angel costume...and maybe the colours too. Is there a superhero in suspenders that looks cool?

Is there anyone in suspenders that looks cool? Gable, Sinatra, Bowie. But yeah, it's not an easy look to pull off.
