I dont care, Spidey should be Spidey. Cosmic stuff is reserved for cosmic heroes and he is not that, which is why I really detest that costume.
A hater of the black Spidey costume? It doesn't beat the red and blue but it came about at the right time and is pretty awesome.

I wouldn't turn her down for a drink dressed like that. But then I'm partial to gals in heeled boots. Neither would I, but it the (extremely unlikely) event that it was a choice between her dressed like that and her identical twin dressed in the top hat, tails and fishnets combo, I know who'd win. I do. They're both winners. Then I would be too! ;-)

Daredevil is amongst my favorite characters but even he fell victim to the rampant hideous couture of the 1990's.I think the blame for this re-design is to be placed on Scott McDaniel See, I always thought this suit looked pretty cool. Well maybe not the weird armor on the legs but I liked the shoulder pads

(That's not even that bad, really.) I kinda liked most of Supergirl's costumes from that period. But there was one that even I couldn't forgive. . .

The masked Dr. Strange.... </div>First time I see this and I like it ! Reminds me a bit of Black Panther maybe? Speaking of, did BP ever got another costume? There should be a thread for classic characters that NEVER changed there costume...

Well...she tried for the invisible clothing look, that is for sure. Clever with the 4 cutout exposing her umm...fantastic twos?
Also, who is in the background wearing her classic uniform?

Oliver Queen wearing Connor Hawke's costume I Like the costume on Connor because it set him apart from Ollie as much as it linked the two of them. Given my druthers i would have preferred to see Ollie go out in his Seattle Suit instead of Connor's uniform.

How on Earth did we forget this travesty? I'm really starting to think that someone was spiking the watercoolers at Marvel and DC from from around 1992-1997. That, or there was an overstimulated 13 year old (a REAL 13 year old as apposed to Rob Liefeld) secretly masterminding all this nonsense from a dark bullpen in the netherworld.

The Panther would be one of my picks - they've added a bunch of stupid looking accessories - gold chains, etc - to the basic costume, and that totally ruins the effect, for me. He's gone from having one of the very best looks in superhero comics to being a nobody, visually speaking.

I've always liked this one too, not for everyday use of course but it made sense for the story it was used in and it looked cool.

One of the things that I've liked about Spiderman is the amount of costumes that he has for different situations. Some of them, yeah, the execution wasn't as good as maybe the practical idea for the suit, but most of them to me are pretty bad ass. One of the entertaining things about Spiderman video games since PS1 or N64 is the unlocking of all the kinds of suits that Parker has wore over the years as Spiderman. I see him and Batman as potential characters to always adapt their costume, essentially their armor, to the task/villain at hand if the situation allows. I don't know the story for the above costume, but if Spiderman is mixing up with someone way more powerful than him (as he does often) it would be prudent to be prepared for that, if one can. After all Spiderman is not an all powerful hero.

I loved that game, and I'll remember its unlock everything cheat code forever: Eel Nats...Stan Lee backwards. Yeah, I was so irritated I didn't figure that out on my own, when someone told me. It was so obvious. I played a bit of Amazing Spiderman on Xbox 360 when my son borrowed it from a friend, and unlocked some costumes that were really cool looking, but had no context to their origin as I haven't read recent Spiderman since the 90s clone saga.
