Ok so we have 7 participants in the US pool so far, and 1 tentative for the UK/European pool, which means the US side will be a go at least, though there is still room for more to join (we've run with as few as four and as many as 10 in the past, so we would need at least 2 or 3 more in the UK/European pool ot make it a go).
Sign up will run through Dec 1 if folks are still interested or need time ot make sure the logistics work on their end before signing up.

If there proves to be a big enough UK contingent, mrp, then I'm in. Thanks! @taxidriver1980 One of the US contingent has volunteered to ship something to the UK, but it would mean you shipping something to the US if no other UK members want to participate and you were willing to do so. You can PM me your answer if you wish. No pressure if you are not willing to ship across the Atlantic, it is perfectly understandable. -M

I've never participated in a contest like this before (a few forums I was on didn't want to do it). So I think it'd be nice for me to ship to the US. I could do that in reciprocation. And if I had any practical questions, I'd ask you, although I will check the Royal Mail website for things like posting dates, postage requirements, etc.

Tomorrow is the last day to sign up. If you are interested, but haven't signed up yet, please do do.
If you have already signed up, please PM me your mailing address so I can send it along to your Santa when I do the randomizer tomorrow night.
If people want to start posting interest or lists in the thread (or via PM), they should start to do so soon so people doing shopping can get it done and in the mail.

I've been on the fence about participating this year, but the holiday cheer bug bit me in the past couple of days, so I'm in (unless I create an odd number of participants, and then I'll back out).

We have 10 participants so far, but there's room for more if anyone else wants to join in.
I have a family Christmas engagement tomorrow afternoon, and won't be getting home until about 6 or so, so anyone who wants to join in can sign up until I get home tomorrow. I will do the random matches tomorrow night and message people sometime tomorrow night with who their gift recipient will be.

A side note, people do not need to worry about whether there is an even or odd number of participants, I have a system for randomizing that works either way, so it doesn't matter if we have an even or odd number of particpants, everyone will be matched to a Santa and a recipient.

I have addresses from about half the participants, so I will need them from the rest soon. I will need them even if you participated before-I clear my index of addresses each year once everyone has received their gifts so I do not keep personal info on file, so I do not have anyone's address from previous Secret Santas.

Dear Santa,
I am open to pretty much any type of comic related gift, but if you need some ideas, there are a few comics that have been driving me crazy trying to find them locally and if you saw them, they would make wonderful gifts. These include: DNAgents #24 Conan the Cimmerian #25 Atlantis Chronicles #7
They just don't seem to show up in the wild locally. Other than that, I have been on a bit of a Batman kick lately and been grooving on classic comic strips recently. I have a lot of Milton Caniff (both Terry and Steve Canyon) and Alex Raymond's Flash Gordon, but always like to explore other adventure strips like Dick Tracy, post-Raymond Flash Gordon, Secret Agent X-9, Rip Kirby, The Phantom, MAndrake the Magician, etc. But again, I have a wide range of tastes in comics and like surprises too, so am appreciative of anything you might choose.

Santa Baby,
Leave some comics under the tree...for me.
I'm on a huge Archie and Disney kick these days, and there are sooooo many of them out there that you probably can't go wrong picking randomly. Dollar bin picks are absolutely perfect. Don't worry about repeats. If you send me a dozen dollar comics, and I have two of them, that's still ten I've never read before!! Truly the ONLY titles to avoid are Archie's Joke Book (never funny) and Uncle Scrooge (I have ALL the good ones).
I'm also not reading any new books at all right now, so if you have a series you are reading that you think I need to know about, that could be a fun thing to find under the tree too.
Also, TOYS. Those retro 3.5" figures, the new mego dolls, the retro McDonalds Happy Meal toys that just came out, anything vintage that fits the price range...I love toys.
This one is really dumb, but my Batman reviews have got me missing those Robin II multi-pack polybagged sets from back in the day. I found the sets for #3 and #4 in a 50 cent bin two days ago, but if you happen to find the sets for #1 and #2, that would be pure nostalgic joy (even though the actual content within stinks to high heaven).
Star Trek Next Gen and DS9...I generally dislike the comics, but am a sucker for any cheap merchandise you might stumble upon. If I already have it, I'll still be tickled pink.
Back issues of Superheroes Monthly. I don't own a single issue, and man do I love those covers.
And I echo @bert's sentiments about not caring whether or not something is new. Heavily used is totally fine so long as it holds together.
Hope all this helps! Obviously, it's the thought that counts. If you know me at all (and everyone participating in this thing does), and you think you have an idea for something I'd enjoy that isn't on this list, by all means bring it on. Whether you're right or not, I'll be touched by the thought.
Happy holidays!

I'm grateful for any gift, but let me say that anything Golden Age (that isn't DC or Timely/Marvel) would be welcome as I'd like to read more of that kind of stuff.
