Seeing if anyone is interested in doing the Secret Santa exchange this year, Thanksgiving is almost upon us but I wanted to give a longer window for people to sign up than we did last year...
The last three years we had a small group of folks participate in a forum Secret Santa.

We will have a window to sign up extending until Sunday December 1st at midnight. If you are interested, post here and send a PM to the coordinator (me for now unless someone else wants to jump in and do it) with the mailing address you want the gift sent to.
If we get enough people interested in participating to make it work (we had 10 last year, which is the most of any year, but we have run with as few as 6, but more would be better), we will move forward with this again. On Sunday December 1, I will use a randomizer to match entrants with the recipient of the gift, and e-mail folks with who they are getting a gift for and their address. If we have enough folks and have a Canadian and an American contingent, I will try to match folks from the same country to save on postage as international shipping can get quite pricey.
Gifts should be comic or geek culture related (unless you know the recipient has other interests from their posts here) and be in the range of $15-$20. Last year participants posted some of their interests, but that is optional, and let's wait to see if we have enough interested in participating before we do that.
You should send out the gift in time for the recipient to get it by Christmas.
When you receive your gift, post it here for others to see.
Be aware, you must provide a mailing address to participate (along with a name attached to the address), but I will only provide the info to whomever is sending your gift via private message. It will not be posted in the forums. This means please do not post address or any other personal info in this thread.
If anyone has questions or further suggestions, let me know.
-a note to the mods-this might be a better fit in the community section but I am posting it here so more eyes see it. If someone wanted to do an announcement and move this to the community section and sticky it until it has run its course, it would be helpful, but is not necessary.
