Used to love red liquorice and hate black. These days I don't enjoy red at all. Haven't have black liquorice in decades, so I can't say if I'd prefer it over red.

Which One is your preferred cookie snack? Do you reach for Chocolate Chip or Oreo's more often in the cookie aisle?
Chocolate Chip wins out more often for me than not. More tasty and lots of different styles and tastes from the cheapo Dollar Store to Chips Ahoy or Keebler Deluxe and you have thin, middle thin, medium, thick, crunchy, soft and chewy, with or without nuts, chips or chunks, white or dark chocolate and so forth. And there is no beating the total greatness of warm fresh chewy home baked chocolate chip cookies in the winter!
I do enjoy Oreo's but not as often and their flavors tend to being just a bit off taste wise and too sweet. What is your milk dipping choice for a cookie treat?

Chocolate chips, no contest.
Except I make my own. Commercial ones are too sweet and don't have enough walnuts.

I won't touch Oreos with a 10-foot pole... It's a long story that involves a mildly traumatic experience in my teens. Haven't eaten Oreos since I was sixteen.
Not a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies, but they're OK. I'm more of an oatmeal-raisin and gingerbread guy.

Crazy thing, this is almost exactly a toss-up for me. I buy these at about equal frequency when I do buy cookies.
Having to pick just one, I'd have to say Chocolate Chip cookies, only because there are different styles, hardness, level of sweetness of chips, etc., while Oreos are just Oreos. Also, it's hard to find a bakery version of an Oreo, but every bakery has its own recipe for a chocolate chip cookie, which is what puts it over the top.

Neither. I actively avoid both. I don't like chocolate.
I'm not a big cookie eater anyway. Occasionally ginger or molasses cookies, but that's very rare.

Which One is your preferred cookie snack? Do you reach for Chocolate Chip or Oreo's more often in the cookie aisle? My grandfather worked for pre-Kraft buyout Nabisco for years so I had an unquestioned loyalty to Oreos. Never touched a Chips Ahoy until years later and even then I felt disappointed even though I have a strong love of Chocolate Chip cookies

Chocolate chip cookies but not the store-bought Chips Ahoy style or even their soft style. I prefer the "fresh-baked" chocolate chip cookies, usually getting those made by the local stores bakery not those for sale in the cookie aisle. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies may be my favorite baked good.

Chocolate chip, when they're home-made or freshly baked from a bakery or pastry shop.

I love 'em both equally. Especially with a glass of milk or a nice steamy brown cup of tea.
Actually, Oreos have only been available here in the UK for, i don't know, maybe 15 years. When I used to see adverts for them in American comics back in the early 80s they seemed really exotic.

Well, we have Oreo biscuits and have had for at least around 15 years, I'd say. I'm not sure whether they are the same recipe as in the U.S., but they look the same. I don't think we had another make of biscuits that were similar before Oreos came out over here. Nothing comes to mind. Edit: We have had Bourbon biscuits for decades over here, probably over a century, and they are sort of a bit like a rectangular Oreo... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourbon_biscuit

Hydrox are strictly superior to Oreos.
Or, they used to be. There's a new manufacturer now and I don't know if the new ones hold up.
