Any thread receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on May 29th. 6. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on May 17th. 7. Absolutely NO negative talk about another thread, its participants, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members and discussions for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. So start your nominating!

Please note: This year, I am relaxing the scope of this award to include All discussion outside of Classic Comics. In addition to Modern Comics, and Film/TV/video games, discussion from the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo Annex, General Discussion, and I suppose even the Help Desk are on the table. Old threads from sections that were previously ineligible can be nominated for content generated in the past year.

I'm going to go with the thread about the pandemic's impact on comics it's current so it's on my brain, and the discussion of how the virus effected the hobby we all love was definitely thought provoking.

One of the most ambitious, interesting and informative threads, I think, is Cody Starbuck’s Comic Book Movies for Non-Comic Book Fans. Well researched and written and a clever idea for a thread, which is what we have come to expect from Cody. Consider it nominated. (Repeated from last night, when I was trying to make sure cody's thread got nominated before the deadline. Relieved to know I'm getting it in early now.)

One of the first threads I look at every morning is the word association game, where our posters never cease to surprise me with unexpected associations. There’s a lot of thinking outside the box at play in that thread, and I’d like to nominate it just for that!

I will second our favorite cheese head's choice of the word association where we all wrack our brains coming up with strange new words

I wish to nominate the Things Historical thread. Being a history buff it's nice to find something new brought up to explore.

I'll nominate the All Purpose Book Notes and Reviews thread. in 2019 It was a great place to discover new books to read, get new insights into books you've already read, and just discuss books in general.

Could you update your summary to indicate specific discussion that happened in that thread this past year?

I wish to nominate the Things Historical thread. Being a history buff it's nice to find something new brought up to explore. As this thread began prior to the window of time for this event, can you please update your write-up to address discussion that was particularly noteworthy in the past year?

There’s a lot of thinking outside the box at play in that thread, and I’d like to nominate it just for that! As with several of the other nominations, this thread began long before the window of time for this event, so we would need your write-up to specifically address what made the conversation in that thread this past year worthy of note.
