Can I question the Thor and Swamp Thing covers above? Technically Beta Ray Bill is a"Thor" and technically that wooden cross could be made of roots from an old Swampy body. So do they really qualify? I was wondering about that Swamp Thing cover I posted, too. Couldn't see any hint of his little face on the cross, though, so figured it was a kinda-sorta. Was also wondering if reflections, as in the Jonah cover, count. We may have to take this to the the OP, then to the Rules and Procedures Committee, then to litigation, then to the Ninth Circuit, then to the SCOTUS.

Not to be a forum lawyer, but if it doesn’t show that it’s the character on the cover, then it’s not. It’s just a grave marker to me. You would have to read the story to see any different. And Beta wasn’t Thor. Just a alien that won the hammer by chance.

Technically I think that might be Jonah's arm and torso reflected in the mirror, but I don't know how many times I looked at this cover before I noticed that: Gee I wonder what distracted you ?

Does the average American housewife really have a painting of Dr. Doom in her home?

Seriously, how did that get Code approved? Giordano slip 'em a C-Note to keep shtum? Call up his old bosses at Charlton and ask them to send some "friends" over?

He's exploring his feminine side. There was a precedent... And he wasn't averse to getting dolled up later... I don't think he was quite as successful that time.

On that note, all of the Funeral For a Friend and Reign of the Supermen covers (until the return of the real mccoy of course) count too.
