One thing I love about Youtube is all the old commercial compilations, especially the ones from around the globe. Flemishdog had the best ones, but he's since moved onto Internet Archive because of takedowns

In honor of Carl Reiner, one of his best moments from the show he created; but wasn't right for the lead role...
Reiner created the series and starred in the pilot, but Sheldon Leonard convinced him he wasn't right for the Rob Petrie role, thus it became the Dick Van Dyke Show. He based Alan Brady on some of the notoriously rough comics who were tyrants to their staff (he's mentioned Milton Berle and Phil Silvers); but it was definitely not Sid Caesar, though the writing room of the series (Rob, Buddy & Sally) is based on Caesar's, with Mel Brooks, Reiner, Larry Gelbart, Woody Allen, Howard Morris and Selma Diamond.
