Some old Carvel Ice Cream commercials narrated by, as Patton Oswald once put it, Tom Waits gargling hot asphalt It's amazing how much mileage they got out of a single cake mold

Happens all the time: I look up one song on YouTube, and suddenly I've lost a large amount of time browsing a chain of musical performances served up on the sidebars.
Some of the biggest lures are live concert footage of Special Guest Stars popping in for a couple of numbers with the hosting band. Came across a great one last night--Nine Inch Nails bringing out Gary Numan and rocking the bleep out of "Cars". The crowd's roar when the riff hits and Numan's big smile make it special right away.
Play it loud.

Love Gary Numan, the dude is talented but frequently gets written off as a one-hit wonder. His recent album Savage is amazing, but his early to mid-80's stuff is pretty good too. He seems to hate this period of his career because he was trying to appeal to dance clubs after music reviewers tore him to shreds in his early days for being too different (see the great documentary "Android In La La Land")

Loved Iron Chef so much when I was younger. Always found it weird that Kaga was never dubbed while in Kitchen stadium, only during the opening narration

So, you may have seen Nandi Bushnell on Youtube, a young girl from the UK doing drum covers of rock songs. She is a fan of Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl responded to her with a drum battle...
Well, Dave also created a theme song for Nandi...
That's pretty damn cool!

More Tex and Edna...
Tex eventually walked out on Edna (couldn't find the clip) and she had to get a replacement...
Isn't that right Rex?
ARF!
Rex was a bit difficult to work with, so Edna went looking for a new partner...
Love Rick Moranis' tour of Prog Rock!
Edna eventually found another fella....Stan.

A interesting video about Austrian Wine and it's scandal in the 1980's I misread that and thought it was Australian wines...

Statler & Waldorf take down a giant...
From some of the things I've heard about him behind the scenes, to a nicer guy it couldn't happen!

Probably one of Adult Swim's better late-night things. Basically it's a concert set in the 80's to see who can better score a passing comet

A video that I've been a fan of for some time. It mixes off-beat poetry with "passable" attempts at flash animation to produce a heady mix that's quite unlike anything else I've ever seen. There is a brief moment of animated nudity (breasts) and a scene of cartoonish gore, but other than that, it's safe for work

A really interesting channel that I stumbled across in another video that does art restorations. Has almost a Joy Of Painting quality about it
