I have a few "favorite" bands; but, if I had to chose one that I love every song they did, it would be Fine Young Cannibals. Excellent melding of the Ska influences of David Steel and Andy Cox (formerly of The English Beat), and the Soul sound of Roland Gift. Their videos were mostly just band performances; but, if I picked just one, it would be "Johnny Come Home."
It feels like a jam, sounds incredible and was just something different from most of what was out there.
My other would be their version of "Suspicious Minds," with Jimmy Somerville providing backing vocals...
Gift just had an amazing voice and Somerville is unique, period (also enjoyed his work with Brosnki Beat and the Communards). Such a an amazing band that came to an abrupt end when Gift pursued an acting career. They got back together a couple of times; but only for special projects. So, two excellent studio albums, a compilation with a new song and a couple of other compilations. Like they say, the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

this is my favorite song & Video, by the band Grizzly Bear. WARNING: the video has some butts in it (male butts). . it's clean enough that YouTube doesn't censor it, so ass-uming it's ok for here too. Obviously attracted by the horticultural elements of the video. Nice to see gardening get its day in contemporary music. the song is great, right?

codystarbuck I really liked FYC covers. . . the cover they did for "Ever Fallen In Love?" is (arguably) better than the original I do wish Gift would do more singing these days, instead of acting.

One of my favorite movies of all time, it just exudes "80's hair metal fantasy" but with a dash of Japanese period dramas to keep it interesting . I bought it some years ago at Walgreens that also came packed with Sonny Chiba's The Street Fighter. While some purists may prefer it without the English dub, I'm afraid that I'm rather attached to it

Some old documentaries from Sci-Fi's Masters Of Fantasy series. One is about Anime, the other is TSR's D&D

I am not familiar with this kata, but Michael Milon is amazingly fast.
That's the kind of performance I'd like to see in the upcoming Shang-Chi movie, and not the slow kind of low-level stuff that marred the Iron Fist TV show!

Now, the two directors who I think could deliver it are.... Stephen Chow and Sammo Hung.... Of the two, Sammo is the better director for this sort of thing, with extensive credits and a great visual style, as well as good storytelling. he knows how to showcase fight scenes, as well as quiet moments. Also, Leiko needs to be someone like Michelle Yeoh...

Here we have British pianist Brendan Kavanagh (Dr. K) introducing a German girl to the American boogie woogie style. Then a Brazilian man who's been watching sticks his hand in and immediately shows that he knows what he's doing. So now you have three total strangers from three different countries jamming together on music from a fourth country and having a blast. Music bringing the world together.

My favorite Muppet Show moment has got to be Sam kicking Rudolph Nuryev out the door for looking like a biker.

We have a new music service, at work, which is giving me flashbacks to junior high (England Dan and John Ford Coley....Rupert Holmes....Gino Vanelli) which got me to thinking of the old K-Tel compilation records and tv commercials. I actually had this one...

Another old favorite, a CGI short film inspired by a multitude of 80's cartoons called Space Stallions
There were some rumors floating around back in the day that Adult Swim showed interest in the film enough to adapt it into a series, but nothing ever came of it
