When we get a bazillion threads all started by Dan B., you'll know what to do.

I was largely unaware of the classic comics forum and group prior to CBRmageddon (Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with myself over this one), and when it seemed that my online home and literally years of my free time were blasted away, I saw Shax extolling the virtues of the CCF community and evangelizing the new board. I didn't know the forums, but I liked the message Shax conveyed and the roster of folks I saw heading over here, and I counted myself fortunate to be extended an invitation. For that I am still very grateful.
It is hard to believe it's been six months, but I am still convinced this is the most pleasant and polite group i have ever encountered anywhere on the internet. Aside from an odd fixation with bananas, this place is everything it promised and more. I appreciate everyone being so welcoming and just plain pleasant. I still feel out of my depth regarding the classic comics material, but I'm learning, and the knowledge accumulated here is impressive. There are few things I miss about CBR, a few posters and topics that don't really fit the tone and intent of CCF, but those had been fading long before the purge anyway.
Anyway, I'm rambling. In short - Mikey, I think he likes it!

I like the new forum a lot, though it seems a lot more active than on CBR--I honestly can't keep up. Just about given up on the Meanwhile thread, since it seems to generate 5 pages a day. The funny thing is, after the first crazy 2 or 3 days of the merged chat thread on CBR, theirs slowed down to a crawl (and mostly a groundhog-day like repetition of the same 3 posters wishing each other a good morning), and now our small "meanwhile" has both more quality AND quantity.

I was largely unaware of the classic comics forum and group prior to CBRmageddon (Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with myself over this one) You need to trademark that ASAP. Maybe Slam can help. Aside from an odd fixation with bananas Yeah, that's on me (and Dan). Sorry.

You need to trademark that ASAP. Maybe Slam can help. Good plan. And I'd be shocked if I was the first one to think of it, too. All good! I have this thing where I fail to convey when I'm joking and people think I'm serious. Just kidding around. I like bananas just fine as it happens.

Anyway, I'm rambling. In short - Mikey, I think he likes it! God bless you for that reference, Impulse! I introduced my son to Life about 6 months or so ago, when they had some cereal a month or so close to out of date and I bought like 4 boxes for $1.50. He likes the cinnamon Life, but hey, still Life cereal. One of the very few cereals I eat.

I introduced my son to Life about 6 months or so ago What a wonderfully Frankensteinian sentence.

God bless you for that reference, Impulse! I introduced my son to Life about 6 months or so ago. Many paper cuts ensued.

He hasn't dared introduce him to Look, I'll bet. The last issue of Look was in October 1971. Half the people on this board have no idea what you're talking about. As usual.
