A new Batman cartoon by Bruce Timm, The Batman director Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams for Hbo Max has been announced and while not much is known about it the image released really has me excited:  Hopefully it's as good as TAS |

I'm sure it's meant to remind us of this:  Could it possibly be set in a 1940s-esque, pre-Robin Gotham City? That would be nice. |

I saw the announcement and the that key art this morning, and I am excited. I anticipate learning more about it in the coming months, I just hope it's available somewhere besides HBOMax as I do not subscribe to that service.

Apparently there's also been a Superman animated series announced as well, but it looks like it's going for a totally different vibe than the Batman series. Here's a look at a piece of promo art/animation featuring Clark, Lois and Jimmy...  certainly looks to be going for a little younger demographic (which is good) and influenced by manga and more modern animation styles than we usually see in big 2 cartoon offerings. It too will be on both CartoonNetwrk and HBO Max (as will Batman). -M |

Though I would want Robin to show up at some point. The trailer hits all the right notes for me. Definitely looking forward to this one and to see if the show does too. Only one way to find out, I'll be tuning in when it drops.
