I've noticed that everyone so far has chosen Brave & Bold #42. I think I'll keep the streak going.
Brave and the Bold #42 Atom #1 Fantastic Four #5 Flash #129 (Jay Garrick! The Trickster and Captain Cold!) Justice League of America #12 Mystery in Space #76 (I've been interested in checking out some Adam Strange stuff for a while now. No time like the present.) Challengers of the Unknown #26 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #261
One cent let for a gumball or something.

This month I dive full on into superheroic thrills. Flash 129 12 cents. Gotta have with Jay Garrick costarring! Justice League of America 13 12 cents. A passel of heroes for my pennies! Batman 148 12 cents. Time to find out more about this giant bat suited guy. Green Lantern 13 23 cents. My 1st hero vs hero issue and 1st morphing Flash cover! Fun!! World's Finest 126 12 cents. Bats and Supes the best buddies of heroes. Coolness! Hawkman 42 12 cents. Sweet Kubert cover of Biiiiiiiiiiiiirdman! Before the wings added. Fantastic Four. 12 cents. Finally a FF cover that catches my interest. Who is that green armored knightly looking villain? Kid Colt 105 12 cents rounds out my spending with a cowpoke I have already bought issues of and liked.
Spent 96 cents with 8 comics so 4 cents left (tax? We don't need no steenking taxes) for some rootbeer barrel hard candy to suck on while reading my name TREASURES.

This would definitely be a DC-heavy month:
Action Comics #289 Archie's Pal Jughead #86 Batman #148 Detective Comics #304 Flash #129 Justice League of America #12 Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #61 Tales Calculated to Drive You Bats #5 World's Finest Comics #126
Lots of interesting stuff on the stands. I'd love to get my hands on now: 87th Precinct #2, Dunc and Loo #4, Linda Lark Registered Nurse #4, and especially Twist #1 (gorgeous cover!)
Plus all the stuff that seems to have disappeared from consciousness, like Johnny Jason, Teen Reporter, Target:The Corruptors, and King of Diamonds (with a Broderick Crawford cover!). I want to find out what Dell's relationships with TV producers were like; seems like they just wanted to keep that Four Color pipeline full.

I made my choices last Monday but forgot to post them!
A dollar gives me some breathing room - I can get all my Marvels and a couple of other things too.
Amazing Adult Fantasy #14 - all Ditko. Fantastic Four #5 - Kirby & Sinnott, that's a good combination; hope to see more of them. Journey into Mystery #81 - cover pencilled and possibly inked by Kirby; others think it was Roussos. Two stories by Kirby & Ayers, one by Ditko and one by Gene Colan. Strange Tales #98 - Kirby/Ditko cover, one story by Kirby & Reinman, and one each by Ayers (solo), Ditko and Heck. A rare 1962 Marvel that has nothing by the team of Kirby & Ayers. Tales of Suspense #31 - This is more normal - cover and two stories by Kirby & Ayers, one each by Ditko and Heck. Tales to Astonish #33 - Same as TOS #31 except the cover is by Kirby & Reinman.
That's 72 cents, so I have enough for 2 more. And it turns out to be easy to choose:
Brave & Bold #42 - Hawkman by Kubert. Atom #1 - all by Kane & Anderson.
A good month!

Batman #148 . 12 I've not read a whole lot of older Batman comic. I only have a handful that are older than me.
Challengers of the Unknown #26 .12 I might have read this in the Showcase TPB but it'd be nice to see it in color. That series didn't lend to B&W as well as the HoM and HoS TPB I have as well.
Mystery of Unexplored Worlds #30 .12 I really think if I had gotten into comics in older decades like this that I wouldn't have been subconsciously restricting myself to superhero comics. Which in the 90's if one walked into a comic shop would have mostly only seen superhero comics.
Reptisaurus #5 .12 Someone here in this forum really likes this title, and I have never read it, so I am going to check it out. Monster comics are usually always good.
That's 48 cents spent leaving me 52 cents for next time. I think that getting mostly exposed to only superhero comics makes it difficult to choose in selections of older comics as I never really explored romance, western, war, humor, TV show, Dell or Gold Key. But I am going to try and start doing so. But none of the romance seemed to catch my eye this month so I am going to save my money.

Including, if you haven't read it, the 8-part Adam Strange (2004) by Andy Diggle and Pasqual Ferry, which I also like to suggest to anyone really, but also to people wanting to check him out. I enjoyed the story and art, and it got him on my radar.

A buck burning a hole in my pocket
Mad #72 - Always a must buy.
Bullwinkle #1 - I've always been a fan of Bullwiggle.
Incredible Hulk #2 - The first issue was good. I'll regret buying this one.
Honestly I think that's it. 48 cents to buy SF digests or paperbacks. I'm not really a fan of the comic books of this era.
