The company with "MC" on the covers continues to put out good comics, but I think things are going to change for them in the near future. For this month, though, things are pretty much the same as previous months.
Incredible Hulk #2 - cover & story by Kirby & Ditko, a great combination. Journey into Mystery #82 - cover by Kirby & Ayers, stories by Kirby & Reinman, Ditko, Heck, and Colan. Strange Tales #99 - cover & two stories by Kirby & Ayers, one each by Ditko and Heck. Tales of Suspense #32 - same lineup as ST #99. Tales to Astonish #34 - same again except one Kirby story is inked by Reinman.
I actually own Bugs Bunny #85, acquired in summer 1964 from a neighbor. There are some interesting superheroes this month but I think these three are the cream of the crop among the other publishers:
Kona #3 - painted cover maybe by Vic Prezio, story by Sam Glanzman. Konga #7 - cover & story by Ditko. Twilight Zone #2 - painted cover by George Wilson, interior pencils by George Evans with inking by him and by Frank Frazetta, and an assist on one story by Reed Crandall. The GCD lists this as issue# 01-860-210 - that's what's in the indicia.

Hmm, not so easy this month! Let's see:
Aquaman #4 ($.12) Bullwinkle #1 ($.15)
Green Lantern #14 ($.12)
Incredible Hulk #2 ($.12) Popeye #65 ($.15) Quick Draw McGraw #11 ($.15)
Showcase #39 ($.12)
Can I carry the leftover $.07 to next month?
Cei-U! I summon the sweet haul!

It's Christmas time, got to save my allowance to buy Christmas gifts for my folks and other family. No spending money on things like comics for me this month.

I'm not doing that myself, though some people have saved money for the following month.

...That leaves me with 15 cents which I'll give to the Charity bucket. You have enough to buy another comic book yet choose not to buy another comic book? What kind of crazy person does that!?!?

Man, this thing is always so hard. A full dollar to spend, and yet everything I wanted would have come close to twice that!
Okay, if I were an adolescent buying books at the time, I'd likely go with:
Confidential Diary #13 - Holy crap, that girl is ready to kill herself. You don't see that on covers everyday!
Famous Indian Tribes #1 - The cover promises some really interesting knowledge about oppressive treaties that led to war. In an era before Wikipedia, I think I'd be intrigued.
Incredible Hulk #2 - That is one enticing cover.
Kid Montana #35 - Looks like a great monster story! I've never been into Westerns, but maybe this would be the crossover introduction I'd need in order to get into that genre more.
Space Adventures #46 - This would likely be the dud of my picks this month, but I have always been intrigued by space, and this offers some real-world info about the space race.
Space War #17 - How fun to go from a gounded, fact-based exploration of space to something as wild as a war on an alien planet fought with space demons and space dinosaurs!
Tales to Astonish #34 - I LOVE that cover.
Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #262 - It was between this and Pep Comics, but WDC&S always has at least two features I can count on to entertain me: Barks' Ducks, and Carl Fallberg's Mickey and Goofy.
That leaves me with 4 cents for sales tax.

Taxes? We don't need no steenkin' tax. This is fantasy comic booking after all. A pax on your tax Shax! That 4 cents is penny candy, gum or savings towards more comics! Get your head in the game young man. Quit thinking like those dang grown up's stuck with the dismal reality of working!

Superboy #98: Something wholesome and reassuring -- and the setting in the 30s, like so many of the old movies I liked even when I was just eight -- always drew me to Superboy.
Famous Indian Tribes #1: I'm a sucker for stories about Indians.
Tomahawk #81: Especially in the colonial era!
Gunsmoke Western #71: Cowboys, a train robbery, and Billy the Kid (whose TV show I've been watching on Saturday nights! Count me in!
Strange Tales #99: What a weird-looking monster!
Tales to Astonish #34: Another weird-looking monster!
Combat #5: Best of the war covers in an unusually weak month for the DC titles.
Sea Devils #6: Cool monster; great drawing!
Plus four pieces of Bazooka to chew on the way home.

When I was a kid, Indiana didn’t tax magazines, and comics were included in that. That would have been the 1970s. I think they started taxing magazines before the 1970s were over.

When I moved Florida for a while, I was surprised that they charged sales tax on periodicals.
