Detective Comics is about to hit a really good patch, and Marvel is upping its game every month. So this might be the last month for a while where it’s easy to pass over the big two.
Black Cat #64 Car 54, Where Are You? #4 Cheyenne Kid #7 Cynthia Doyle, Nurse in Love #67 Devil Kids, Starring Hot Stuff #4 Fightin’ Navy #107 Little Dot #84 Little Dot Dotland #4 Little Lulu #166 Nancy and Sluggo #189 Strange Suspense Stories #62 Three Stooges #11

I didn't realize that Adventure had a Legion story (they're not on the cover and there's not even a mention of a Legion story!!) so I'll have to put back the Sad Sack and get Adventure #303.

So that you can spend your allowance wisely , repeat after me: The Legion became Adventure's co-feature starting with #300 (replacing the Bizarro feature), though it wasn't regularly featured on the cover until #311.

This week’s choices reminded me how much I like Batman #151, so I went over to eBay on a whim and found a copy of #151 up for auction. I put a low bid on it and so far I’m the only one bidding on it. The auction still has a few days to go. It would be nice to get Batman #151 pretty cheap. I won Batman #151 for $24 and another $6 for shipping and tax. It’s listed as VG+. It’s a little worn but it appears to be complete and the cover and centerfold are attached. It looks like a pretty good deal to me. And the cover story is awesome!

Tough one! Nine are no-brainers:
Atom #4 ($.12) Fantastic Four #10 ($.12) Flash #133 ($.12) Green Lantern #17 ($.12) Journey into Mystery #87* ($.12) Justice League of America #16 ($.12) Popeye #67 ($.12) Strange Tales #104 ($.12) Tales to Astonish #39 ($.12)
but I can't decide between The Creature #1, The Jetsons #1, Tarzan #133, and Two-Gun Kid #61. Time to turn in some old bottles for the deposit!
Cei-U! Kid Me woulds gone for The Creature!
* The third Marvel comic I ever read

October 1962:Batman 152. Love that cover full of all kinds of oddballs! Brave and the Bold 45, because I loved baseball then as much as I do now. G.I. Combat 97. Who needs any reason beyond that cover?!
Justice League of America 16: All those heroes! Tarzan #133: Lovin' that triceratops! Creature 1. Scary-ass cover!(If you were eight!) Challengers of the Unknown 29 Love the name, love that they're having a "war"! One more choice? Well, I'd've gone with the guy on the pterodactyl, of course!
