Still mostly Marvel and Julius Schwartz's titles but I was able to squeeze in a couple of non-Julie DCs and a Gold Key*:
Amazing Spider-Man #8 ($.12) Atom #10 ($.12)
Fantastic Four #22 ($.12) Flash #141 ($.12) Green Lantern #25 ($.12)
Journey into Mystery #29 ($.12)
Justice League of America #24 ($.12) Strange Tales #116 ($.12) Tales of Suspense #49 ($.12)
Tales to Astonish #51 ($.12)
Cei-U! I summon the super-duper spending spree!
* Except I only accomplished this feat by misremembering how much my allowance was. Thanks to chaykinstevens for catching my big ol' boo-boo!

...with $.07 left over which, combined with what carried over from last time leaves me with enough to add one more, so:
Superboy #109 ($.12), because Krypto!!
Cei-U! I summon the super-duper spending spree!
Wasn't the budget $1.25 not $1.75?

Amazing Spider-Man #8 (looks like a lot going on in this issue) Atom #10 (yeah, like I'm going to pass up that cover) Blackhawk #191 (Never checked this comic out, but that looks like an interesting villain) Green Lantern #25 (looks decent) Journey Into Mystery #25 Tales of Suspense #49 (Looks like a cool crossover story) Strange Tales #116 (lots of heroes fighting heroes comics this month) Uncle Scrooge #46 Archie Giant #25 (Might as well take advantage of that quarter)

October 1963 Adventure #315: Superboy, yawn--wait, what's that blurb at the top? "Who Will Win the Legionnaires' Super Contest" ? Okay, you got my 12 cents. DC Detective #322: Bat-Girl. DC, 12 cents. Fantastic Four #22: Marvel, 12 cents. Heart Throbs #87: what an eye-catching cover. Love how Romita does the cheekbone-and-chin lines, and the guy's brows. DC, 12 cents. Justice League of America #24: DC, 12 cents. Metal Men #5: DC, 12 cents. My Greatest Adventure #84: Doom Patrol. DC, 12 cents. Steve Zodiac and the Fireball XL5: OMG I loved the show, especially that closing theme song! Have to buy this one. Gold Key, 12 cents. Strange Tales #116: Thing, Torch and Alicia. Yeah I'll buy this. Marvel, 12 cents Young Romance #127: Another eye-catching cover, love those feathered cheekbones (a Romita specialty, something he said he learned from Maneely). DC, 12 cents. Total: $1.20, a nickel left over for some candy.

I think I'm a few cents over. I'll have to ask for an advance on my allowance. Adventure Comics #316 (Legion of Super-Heroes, must buy) Batman Annual #6 Green Lantern #26 (Star Sapphire!) Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #74 (Jimmy Olsen is awesome) Sea Devils #15 (Looks interesting, I'll give it a try) Superman Annual #8 (Looks fun) Amazing Spider-Man #9 (Electro!) Avengers #3 (looks like a good fight here with Hulk & Namor) X-Men #3 (the debut of the Blob)

Oh, yeah - I somehow overlooked Fantastic Four #23. Maybe I'll have to ditch Green Lantern #26 to clear the budget for it. After all, it's got Doctor Doom!

Amazing Spider-Man #9 Avenger #3 Batman Annual #6 Fantastic Four #23 Green Lantern #26 Little Dot #91 Superman Annual #8 X-Men #3
I try to vary it a little, and get westerns or Patsy Walker or whatever, and not just superheroes. It was really hard this time, but I did get Little Dot!

I bought Adventure 316 at the candy store that month, so that goes on the list. Also picked up Batman Annual #6, which became and remains a favorite of mine for many reasons, not the least of which is that ith eight -- count'em, eight! - stories. I also remember buying Lois Lane #46, even though my friend gave me the business, but I was a sucker for the Imaginary Stories that popped up there so frequently, and this story was high drama for a nine-and-a-half-year-old kid! I had no idea what irony was until I read a batch of Lois Lane and Superman Imaginary Stories. Pretty sure I would have bought Combat #11, Outer Limits #1 (with that "Mars Attacks"-type cover!) and Our Army at War #138 to get my military fix. Also that Superman 166, another Imaginary Story, with a Christmas cover, to boot and the Superman Annual #8, which I remember seeing on the stands, but which I didn't have the money for when I did. I was so intrigued by the picture of Superman as an old bearded man. Three cents left for bubblegum or Tootsie Rolls, or a mixture of same...

Hey, let's see if I can get it right this time:
The Amazing Spider-Man #9 ($.12) The Avengers #3 ($.12) Green Lantern #26 ($.12)
Fantastic Four #23 ($.12) Journey into Mystery #100 ($.12) Sgt. Fury #5 ($.12) Strange Tales #117 ($.12) Tales of Suspense #50 ($.12) Tales to Astonish #52 ($.12) The X-Men #3 ($.12)
and, by combining the leftover nickle with the two remaining from June and July:
Korak, Son of Tarzan #1 ($.12)
Cei-U! I summon the armful of awesome!
