I'm digging this new expanded allowance. Not only could I afford my usual Marvels and DCs but I picked up four Gold Keys and an ACG.
The Amazing Spider-Man #12 The Atom #12 The Brave and the Bold #53 Daredevil #1 Fantastic Four #26 Green Lantern #28 Hawkman #1 Herbie #1
John Carter of Mars #1
Journey into Mystery #103 Magnus, Robot Fighter #6 Strange Tales #120 Tarzan #141
Tales of Suspense #53 Tales to Astonish #55 Two-Gun Kid #69
...all for 12 cents each, leaving a balance of 8 cents. If I combine that with last month's eight cents I can also afford
Magilla Gorilla #1 (which I had a now long gone copy of as a tyke).
Cei-U! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

And I don't care what you say, I kinda like this original uniform) Fantastic Four #26 (Part 2 of that cool team-up with the Avengers versus the Hulk!) Have to pop back in for this thread, always fun!
Adventure #319 - Legion ASM #12 - Doc Ock Daredevil #1 - Those early yellow costume issues are my favorite FF #26 - Heroes galore Hawkman #1 - More first issue goodness this month Journey Into Mystery #103 - Great Enchantress cover Space Family Robinson #7 - Hooked by another gorgeous cover Strange Tales #120 - Ditko Dr. Strange, but nice to see snowball Iceman show up in the Torch feature Superman #168 - You take any Silver Age non-powered character and give them superpowers and a costume for one issue, I'm probably buying it Jimmy Olsen #76 - Elastic Lad/Legion tie-in, a must purchase Tales of Suspense #53 - Love the early Natasha appearances
$1.32 for the month, still only making modest use of the increase, but nice to have a little extra spending power!

This makes me think of that time when I was about nine years old and I stayed overnight with my friend Daryl. And he had a stack of comics that included quite a few comics that I hadn’t read. It included a lot of horror comics that I had never looked at before. Man-thing. Tomb of Dracula. Fear. And probably a lot of others I don’t remember. In the morning, Daryl said he was gonna make us breakfast, and he started to make cookie dough, which he apparently like to eat raw with a spoon right out of the bowl. Daryl’s mother came in and asked me if I wanted a real breakfast, and I had eggs and sausage and toast, and talked to Mrs. Hundley while Daryl was eating cookie dough and watching cartoons.

Ah, memories! Very cool. Though your breakfast sounds nice, with my sweet tooth, I'd go with Daryl's breakfast. And Daryl's mom sounds incredibly cool!
