Let's see what we've got.
Mad #93. The highlight of any month.
Amazing Spider-Man #22. As good as super-hero comics get at this point.
Daredevil #6 - Can't pass up Wally Wood art.
Fantastic Four #36 - Best super-hero book that isn't Spider-Man.
Strange Tales #130 - Sucks to have to get Human Torch in order to get Dr. Strange.
Brave & Bold #58 - For the most part I'm not a fan of DC books of this period. But let's see if this is something different and better.
$1.15 left over for SF digests and books and noir paperback originals. So that's good.

Wonder Woman #152 - a rare title for me to grab, but I like seeing Wonder Girl briefly take the lead. Is it really Wonder Girl or is it from when Wonder Girl was really Wonder Woman as a girl?

Nope, not Donna. Sorry, dude. Donna debuted in The Brave and the Bold #60 and didn't appear in Wonder Woman until #265. All previous appearances of Wonder Girl in that title prior to #265 were Diana as a teenager (and most of those, including #152, were non-canonical "Impossible Tales").

Great, I wasted 12 cents. And the guy at the newsstand said no refunds, scram kid. Thanks Cei-U!, in the "real world" those early issues are officially crossed off the back issue list! (cause I would have been crying over a lot more than 12 cents...)

The three books I remember buying... For some reason I've always liked the informality of that picture of the Flash and that almost sheepish smile he's wearing. The Fury cover remains one of my all-time favorites even though the Nazis would never have let the Howlers limp away. Forty-nine cents down and $1.51 to go. Yeah, not a comic, but I woulda bought it: $1.01 left. Hmmm. I can buy eight comics. Here goes: Adventure Comics #330 It's the Legion! Gotta have it! All American Men of War 108 It's Johnny Cloud! Gotta have it! (Even though the Nazi looks like Dick Dastardly.) Blackhawk #206 A guy digging his own grave! Gotta have it! Showcase 55 Dr. Fate! Hourman! Earth-Two heroes! Gotta have it! Tomahawk #97 Frontier guys! A guy getting shot by his own men! Gotta have it! Air War Stories #3 Planes blowing up real good! Gotta have it! (Plus, good for history class and patriotism, since the whole country is celebrating the 50th anniversary of World War One.) Rawhide Kid #45 Cowboys! Origin story! Gotta have it! X-Men #10 A sabre-toothed tiger! A blond Tarzan! X-Men!? What's an X-Man!? Gotta have it! A nickel left for a pack of these... World War Two! Gotta have 'em! Great month!

Yeah, not a comic, but I woulda bought it: I don't get it - it says "Sport" but I don't see anything about hockey on there.

He played for the University of Washington, briefly managed the minor league Seattle Rainiers, and of course Seattle's prestigious Fred Gutchinson Cancer Research Center was founded by his surgeon brother and named in his honor.

I have a good batch of them from my 1964-67 SPORT heyday, but not that one. Hutch was legendary elsewhere throughout baseball too, revered as a good and decent man and a good manager. Many gutsy ball players have won the Hutch award for displaying courage through adversity, but in an interesting twist, last year’s winner was Dr. Fauci. The only other non-ball player to win the award was Jimmy Carter, a few years ago.
