I don't get it - it says "Sport" but I don't see anything about hockey on there. But... inside was Rocket Richard’s brutally honest, though always pro-Canadiens monthly column. 😉
In French!

OMG!! BARRY GOLDWATER #1! You joke but that's actually been high on my want list ever since I found a copy of Lyndon B. Johnson in some dealer's dollar box at Emerald City a few years back.
Cei-U! I summon the Arizona nalso-ran!

Sigh...no issue of Mad this month.
Amazing Spider-Man #23
Creepy #2
Fantastic Four #37
Thor #114
Showcase #55 (Oh Yeah!)
Strange Tales #131 (I still hate paying for Human Torch to get Dr. Strange)
$1.05 left over for SF digests, SF books and lurid paperback originals.

Prince Hal - lots of gotta haves. WWII trading cards? I never knew they had such a thing. I do remember getting Desert Storm trading cards in the early 90's though.

At least they added the Thing to that Human Torch feature but it's still kinda painful.

Well, those were way after my time. I was too busy asking the super-patriots whether they thought we'd be saving Kuwait if they were sitting on reserves of kumquats instead of oil.

There were Civil War cards, too, in 1962, because of the centennial. Just as gruesome as the Mars Attack cards from the same year. To wit: In 1965, Topps also issued WW2 cards, but that's one series I never saw. They were by Norm Saunders, too, and right up there in the gruesome category.

You mean like the way we helped out oil-less Rwanda when they...oh, yeah, never mind.

Who says the early 60's was an innocent time?
