I just finished the most recent season of Archer. What a great storyline.

The Australian WILFRED did two seasons of eight episodes each. All 16 episodes are on huluplus. I think only 2 or 3 are on regular hulu.com.

The only thing I didn't like about Archer Vice was that they made Pam drop all that weight for no reason. Otherwise I thought it was pretty funny.

Season 4 of Franklin & Bash premieres tomorrow night on TNT! Man, it seems you like most all of the shows I like, but then you throw up these random things I would never even think of watching. What do you find appealling about this show?

It's genuinely funny. Honestly I would never have given it a chance if I hadn't watched an interview on Attack of the Show that convinced me to give the pilot a try.

BTW, there's an unauthorized behind-the-scenes telemovie about SAVED BY THE BELL coming up on Lifetime network on Labor Day.

After the first three episodes of Face Off this season, I am finding myself less interested than I was last season. I think the big reason is that no one has really shown themself to be a standout talent, like Rashaad, Tyler, and George did last season; this group seems to be pretty pedestrian. That's not an insult, because they are all more talented than I could ever hope to be, and I respect their ability, but the vision and sheer natural talent is not there (or hasn't been brought to the forefront yet).

I tend to agree. This season has not had me as interested as past seasons, but I am still enjoying it. I agree no one has emerged as a standout talent yet, but sometimes it takes more than a few episodes for it to happen, but what is lacking for me this season is none of the contestants seem to have the charisma of that group you mentioned. Every season there seems to be a group of contestants you really like and can root for, even if they are not the best talents among the group, but so far none of them has emerged as someone to really root for me. Combined with that lack of wow factor i the talent so far, and it's left the show feeling a little meh this season. There's still time to turn things around, but yeah a slow start so far. -M

I don't think I'll ever tire watching Peter Lorre collect fingers.

Well I just finished watching True Detective on DVD. I am not good at binge watching, so it took me the better part of a week to get through. I prefer to watch an episode and let it sink in and digest for a bit before diving into the next, though I do like having them all available to watch at my own pace.
Great stuff. Been a long time since I checked out Robert Chambers King in Yellow stuff, so I may have to dig those out and reread at some point because of this. Brilliant performances, strong script, and top-notch directing and cinematography on this show.
Also one of the best final lines ever.

I just picked up the brand-new DVDs for season one of Da Vinci's Demons from the library. I'm not big on binge-watching either, so I'll probably take the full two or three weeks to get through these eight episodes, depnding on how many renewals I can squeeze out of it. One of the librarians behind the counter was amazed that they actually had purchased something requested by a patron. The other librarian mentioned that they never stocked Northern Exposure before she requested them (of course she's a librarian, so... (or maybe she's considered "only' a clerk? I don't know much about public library hierarchy.))

While I was at the library, I also grabbed Wilfred (US) season two off the shelf when I saw there was an original short included. I'll also check out the deleted scenes and probably rewatch the episode with Robin Williams (RIP). All of which reminds me I never commented on the finale of Wilfred! I don't know that I'm entirely happy with the resolution that Wilfred was just all in Ryan's head . It seems not entirely consistent with several episodes over the past few years. Although it was a satisfying ending in some other ways, such as when Ryan told off Jenna. And I suppose some of the comments abot the basement left open the idea that things weren't as cut-and-dried as the "resolution" seemed to be at first glance. Overall, it was a really fun ride. A unique, intriguing, entertaining and very often quite funny series. I'm glad it lasted as long as it did.
