As someone who has worked in the TV industry for the past 20+ years (with a spouse who does as well), I must say you people don't watch nearly enough TV! C'mon, papa needs new pair of DC Blue Ribbon Digests! We watch Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Parenthood and Homeland (I work for Showtime - shameless plug). When my wife falls asleep, I watch Justified and Boardwalk Empire. I also watch a lot of sports - this time of year it's mostly Mets baseball. My kids tend to monopolize the TV, so there's a lot of WWE and Regular Show on in the house. I also watch Homeland, but unless the keep Brody, I don't think I'll continue watching.

I don't have Showtime or HBO. Heck, I don't even have extended basic cable. Still, I manage to watch my fair share of TV. I try to catch the new episodes of CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Bones, Castle, Big Bang Theory, Suburgatory, Rizzoli & Isles, Longmire, and Agents of SHIELD as they come out. I tend to steer away from shows whose comprehensability requires faithful weekly viewing, however. I'm also a fan of PBS: Nova, Nature, Antiques Roadshow, American Masters. As mentioned before, I like Face Off, as well as American Pickers and American Restoration. I watch far more HGTV than I should probably admit to, especially Income Property, Property Brothers, Rehab Addict and the various Crashes. I still enjoy the stray cartoon: Futurama, Venture Brothers, Robot Chicken. I watch late night favorites Conan and Chelsea Lately on demand. I'm currently obsessed with the new Cosmos, watching each new installment at least twice. And of course I watch at least an inning or two of every Mariners game and a ton of old movies on Turner Classic.
Cei-U! I summon the remote!

I should also add I'm a faithful viewer of This Old House even though I'm the least handy person you could find. And I enjoy Toy Hunters as well.

I don't own a TV per se, but I watch Community and Mad Men via DVDs from the library. (Although Community just got cancelled, which is a huge bummer. Nerdiest damn tv I've ever seen by a country mile, I tellyawhat.)

I watch ME TV, Retro TV, and Antennae TV. It's nice to know a lot of the old stuff is still around to check out when you have the chance. I watch these stations a lot. If I lived alone I would get rid of cable & be content with shows that can be picked up by antenna. I would be happy watching the football & baseball games that are still broadcast over the air. I would use Netflix to watch stuff like The Walking Dead. But my wife watches very little broadcast TV. She mostly watches cable shows.

I have cable for two reasons, I'm still married and college football. The latter is the only good reason.

The first-run shows I watch regularly are The Walking Dead, Arrow, the new 24, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural and The Originals. I have no doubt The Flash and Gotham will be on the list this Fall.

Saturday morning cartoons I caught before they expire from hulu.com:
The Family Guy elopes to Vermont to marry his son for the inheritance money. Pretty funny. The Harvard boys at The Simpsons give us a first act of pedantic pro-Monsanto propaganda before veering into a pedestrian Sideshow Bob story. Funny stuff when Bob's Burgers goes undercover at a BronyEquesticles convention. American Dad's Rubbernecking episode had some good musical numbers.

The trailer for NBC's upcoming series Constantine actually looks pretty good.

The trailer for NBC's upcoming series Constantine actually looks pretty good. Would you believe there is a group trying to petition NBC to get Keanu Reeves to play Constantine on the tv series? I guess there really is no taste any more -M

Good episode last night. All of my favorite characters in play: Ramsay, Daenerys, Tywin, Oberyn… I only missed Littlefinger. Great performance from Dinklage.

For me, the best one is still "The Wire". I've been binge watching it since Easter and I'm about to finish season 3. If there's a better police procedural / crime drama I've yet to watch it.
