If you are not watching The Good Place on NBC, do yourself a favor and check it out, although you will definitely need to go back and watch all of Season One or else none of it currently happening will make any sense. It is a smart show while also being really funny, and it is currently the only show from one of the three major networks that I am watching.

Well it's not on TV in general, but it's been on my TV. I've been watching Barney Miller the last few weeks and have just about finished the second season. A lot of of old television doesn't age well, but Barney Miller has aged very well. For the most part I can't watch cop shows. I can't turn my brain off for all the mistakes. But it's a very enjoyable show and hits good nostalgia buttons as well.

I love Barney Miller, Wojo, Fish, and the whole gang at the 12th Precinct & when Inspector (James Gregory) Luger shows up he really cracks me up. I was very sad when they canceled the show after 8 seasons and always remains a special place with me. I watch it regularly on the Sundance Channel and I do have the DVD's as well. |

Anyone else watch Ghost Wars on Syfy this week? I checked it out because I noticed Vincent D'Onofrio and Meatloaf are in it. It has a similar vibe to Haven but less humor. It started off a little slow and I didn't care for the young lead but I thought some of it was interesting.

I just saw the trailer for the upcoming Philip K. Dick anthology series Electric Dreams coming to Amazon next year...
looks promising. The casting is certainly top notch.

Mr Robot season 3 episode 1 "eps3.0_power-saver-mode.h" {Spoiler}It looked like Whiterose was building a Large Hadron Collider at the beginning of the episode but if it's what Angela was talking about then maybe it's more like the Irwin Allen TV series from the 60s The Time Tunnel.
Also Angela working for the Chinese this season and Darlene asking questions like she was wearing an FBI wire. Off to an interesting start I'd say.

Binge watching Get Shorty on EPIX On Demand this weekend. Hopefully I can finish watching season 1 tonight. It's pretty good and I definitely prefer it over the film adaption of the Elmore Leonard story.

I watched the series premiere of Superstition on Syfy last night because it was directed by Mario Van Peebles. It seems like a pretty solid monster of the week show and I definitely preferred it to Ghost Wars. It shares similarities with Supernatural only it's a father and son dynamic instead of brothers, in fact they actually name drop Sam and Dean at one point. Great unexpected ending I'm interesting in checking out more episodes.

My wife and I watched the first two episodes this weekend, and we will do one per evening this week to wrap up by the end of next weekend. I can't do the binge thing with shows, primarily because I'm old and need to sleep in order to function every day. |

I think Ghost Wars on Syfy has been steadily improving. It has a low budget feel while using a lot classic style scares. The more it goes along the less it relies solely on the young lead and some of the other actors really get to do some interesting things.
Similarly Superstition created by Mario Van Peebleshas also been entertaining monster-of-the week show.
