Silicon Valley on HBO has been pretty funny. Hysterical.

The Grimm season 3 finale ended with an outstanding cliffhanger and this week's episode of Hannibal contained the craziest and goriest thing I've ever seen on network television.

About that scene, Hannibal producer Bryan Fuller told avclub.com:
"[Standard & Practices] basically advised us that darkness is our friend, and as much as we wanted to show could be shown as long as it was in silhouette. For me, I knew that I didn’t want to have Michael Pitt with half of his face hanging off for most of the scene, because then it kind of loses its value. So, it became the negotiation of why not have him doing most of this stuff in the shadow and then step forward into illumination where you can just see the staggering level of damage that he’s done to himself.
"When we submitted it, I don’t think we got dinged on that scene. The scene that we got dinged on in that episode was when Will Graham cuts Hannibal’s throat in the fantasy sequence. . . We had one shot in there that went on too long, in terms of the wave of arterial spray that was coming out of Hannibal’s neck."

I could hardly recognize him the first time, he's gained a lot of weight since Boardwalk Empire. Anybody watches POI?

I was worried too. There's a "no one is safe" kind of deal going on. I didn't expect what I saw last Friday. Quite disturbing, yet I don't want to look away. There's some really powerful imagery in this series. The garden of mushrooms, the honey head… Last episode's post-mortem display, was "just" another one. Last Friday's episode really dialed up the creepiness and gore.

I watched the episode of Metal Hurlant Chronicles, "Loyal Khondor". I've only seen about three of these so far; I think this was my favorite. It's from a story by Jodorowsky.

A Tyrion dominated episode last night, all three visits made for interesting dialog. And Littlefinger's ulterior motives are starting to show, Lysa wasn't wrong, after all.

After months of various teasers FX finally released a trailer featuring actual footage from their upcoming series based on Guillermo del Toro's The Strain.

Was interested to see a scene in the last new Game of Thrones lifted from Waiting for Godot.
The Americans and Hannibal both ended their second season in fine form.
I've seen a few more Metal Hurlant. I particularly liked the one with two (very) short stories, "Red," and "Cold Hard Facts." Both had good Twilight Zone type endings. "Red" is based on a story written by Geoff Johns.

Four episodes into Fargo, it's quite good.
I've recently turned Netflix streaming back on. Hence, I am also four episodes into the final, direct-to-Netflix, season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It was a four-part story about one of the clones investigating the clone manufacturing process. These episodes were written by Katie Lucas, George's daughter; and they were quite good. I hope but doubt the remaining nine episodes will be as good as those four. Netflix is presenting the series as it was originally rendered, in 2.35:1. It looks really nice. I think a few of the older episodes on there also have a couple extra minutes compared to the TV cut.
Also watched the first of the second season of Derek. Such a strange yet oddly compelling show.
Also a couple episodes into Deadbeat on hulu, a fantasy comedy about a stoner medium. Silly fun.

Oh, and I wanted to ask, with Netflix back on, I have access to all kinds of animated Marvel properties from the past ten or 15 years.
I was wondering, which of these series and/or DVD-movies are worth checking out?

I enjoyed Growing Up Fisher. Disappointed that it was canceled. Anyone know if the last 2 episodes will ever air?

Watched the return of Heroes of Cosplay on SyFy, which is bad TV but pure guilty pleasure, and the debut of the Wil Wheaton Project, which was just bad TV...
