Season 7 of Robot Chicken has been pretty good and the season 4 premiere of Superjail! was absolutely crazy.

I missed Robot Chicken tonight, but I saw it last week, which included this Dr. Doom gag: video.adultswim.com/robot-chicken/doom-tries-the-official-route.html---- I enjoyed season 1 of TURN, which ended last week. No word yet about Season 2, but you can read this prequel comic book free online from AMC: www.amctv.com/shows/turn/origins-comic-book------------ AdultSwim released on Sunday all six episodes of their new series King Star King online, describing it as "too sexxxy for TV." Based on the first episode, I'd describe it as a cross between Heavy Metal and Superjail.

AMC's Halt and Catch Fire is kind of interesting. It's sort of like Pirates of Silicon Valley meets Mad Men. Some of the music they use is really good too. This week Doctor Doom appeared again this time with the Fantastic Four in a Wife Swap parody.

I'm waiting on Doctor Who, Defiance and The Newsroom. Most of my other shows are on break for the rest of the Summer.

Due to having small children, I can pretty much only keep up with one show at a time these days. Lately, that show has been Parks and Recreation. I'm now on Season 4, and the show is rocking my world.

The Fargo season finale was incredibly satisfying.
The season 3 debut of Perception on TNT was also pretty good.

I've been catching up on the new season of Loiter Squad on Adult Swim On Demand. It's pretty funny and there have been some good guest stars.
Season 2 of Defiance premiered on Syfy.
Gang Related on FOX has been decent and the casting is pretty good.
I checked out the series premiere of Dominion debuted on Syfy because Anthony Head was in the previews (although I was disappointed he didn't speak with his natural accent). The premise of angels versus mankind is interesting but I'm not sure if this series will hold my interest yet.

My wife and I don't watch too many shows, but our favorite is So You Think You Can Dance. I'm not usually into the competition talent shows, but there is something different about this one, and there's something for just about everyone. Not only is it full of incredible athletic ability and entertaining styles, but it has some of the most beautiful, sculpted, prime specimens of the human body anywhere. Regardless of what you're into, they have it. The choreographers and numbers they put together are also really great to watch. I think I like that they got away with sneaking an art show onto mainstream TV disguised as a talent show. That and some peak human athletic feats, beautiful people, fun and innovative dance styles... geez, I sound like Fox is paying me to say this. It's been one of my favorites since season 2 (on 11 now). We are also watching through Star Trek: The Next Generation on Amazon Prime. Halfway through season five! I've never seen the whole show before, so this is fun, too.

Anyone watch the SyFy show Face Off? I like special effects in horror/sci fi movies so it's a pretty cool show.

The show was everything you said, but seems to be selling out this season to cash in on the Bieber craze, ironically just after the worm has started to turn on Bieber. As for Face Off, we've talked about it here before, but it is one of the favorite shows here in my household. -M

Anyone watch the SyFy show Face Off? I like special effects in horror/sci fi movies so it's a pretty cool show. It's a really cool show. My wife and I were pretty big fans, but the judges made some absolute BS decisions a season or two that really turned us off the show. The concept and the makeups are really cool, but it's hard to enjoy a competition show when you have no confidence in the judging. My wife loves So You Thin You Can Dance, but is having trouble this year sitting through the Justin Bieber Dance Crew segments. The show was everything you said, but seems to be selling out this season to cash in on the Bieber craze, ironically just after the worm has started to turn on Bieber. It's not really fair to say the show is selling out. They have been bringing on celebrity guest stars for years and years, and they have tweaked the show formula just about every season. The basics are the same, but they've taken a lot more risk in changing the format than I would expect from a big established show like this where you would think executives wouldn't want to rock the boat. They seem to have their finger on the pulse of their audience pretty well, i.e. incorporating more of the pop-lock, hip-hop, etc as opposed to traditional dance when it became apparent this is where the audience was looking. Overall, I think they do a good job. ...having said that all that, the Bieber segments make an excellent bathroom break. It's enough time to take the dogs out, too.

Anyone watch the SyFy show Face Off? I like special effects in horror/sci fi movies so it's a pretty cool show. I'm really looking forward to season 7 starting July 22nd! It's one of the few reality / competition shows I can stand and the only one I watch regularly. There was a pretty sizable thread for it before CBR rebooted. I'll probably start another one there is someone else doesn't by then.

Just caught the first episode of The Musketeers of BBC America. There's plenty of swashbuckling and the casting is quite good. Peter Capaldi makes an excellent villain.
