Oh God…I don’t even know what to say. I can’t believe it. In my short time knowing him, I always looked forward to his posts (I bet he had that effect with many). He seemed a wonderful soul to me, and I feel blessed I got to "meet" him a couple of times on the Zoom calls.

Damn, this is extremely sad. I'm a relative newbie, so I didn't know him like a lot of you, but he seemed like a great person. RIP

Condolences to his family. Sad news. He was welcoming and positive. He had similar interests to me in what we like in comics and TV. I will miss his contributions. I feel for his family in their time of grief.

if any solace is to be found, I at least smile in that his last post here was his #1 entry for 12 days of Christmas.
i know how much he loved participating in that, and I think he'd really be tickled that he was able to finish his list for us all.
I'll miss him.

I just can't believe it. He was such a great and friendly soul. Bruce, you're going to be sorely missed, man. This world needs more people like you!

Terrible shock. One of my favourite posters here, I was looking forward to talking to him in person some day.

I've been away from the computer all day and just checked in her and saw this. Kind of at a loss for words right now. RIP my friend, you will be missed.

I'm still processing this since George called me about 3 hours ago to give me the news. After the reality set in, I poured a tall dram of scotch and raised it to Bruce.
That guy was just good all around... the guy who was ever-present, but not because he touted himself-- It was because he contributed and joined in just about any conversation. While Bruce would always be willing to give his opinion, he never did it at the expense of denigrating your own opinion. I also had an affinity for him because aside from MWGallaher , Slam_Bradley and myself, he was one of the few folks around here who truly enjoyed western comics and film. The sad thing is, he was looking forward to 2022, having just begun a new job after a period of unemployment.
Vaya con Dios, Bruce... I'm missing you already.

Just saw this and am stunned, like everyone else. My interactions were al via replies and posts within threads and, like tartanphantom, we shared a lot of overlap in our comics and films, including westerns, though his love of the genre was way deeper than mine. Always enjoyed his responses in my review threads. So long, stranger. Thanks fer all ya done fer us!

Bruce used to call me his" brother from another mother" because of the similar likes we had for the Avengers in the Silver age and Don Heck, etc.
I plan to honor him by reading some western comics this week.
Rest In Peace my friend.

In shock. Nothing to add to what has already been said. I only knew him through our interactions on the board, but he was always friendly and courteous, and a fellow fan of westerns to boot. R.I.P. brutalis.

Rest In Peace my friend. Anyone know what his favorite series or issue was? Might be fun for us to locate a digital copy and all read and discuss it in his honor.
