I exchanged numbers with a few people since the zoom meetings started. I guess if not for that , I wouldn’t know what happened either.

This has made me think. My wife knows I frequent these boards and have some online "friends" on these. But I doubt that if anything happened to me she would know where to post or even think about it. I would just disappear from the Forums. Nobody here knows me IRL or has contact outside of the forum. Maybe I should think about leaving instructions. I left instructions in my will. Yeah but your the big cheese here. Maybe it’s a good thing to reach out to members that you connect with on this forum. |

(A little more since a recent exam.) I have friends who know the value of my comics and art and can help my sons w/ that, but nobody knows my online "family."
I'll have to see about Sunday--I'm taking my son back to campus tat day, but not sure what time.

I left instructions in my will. Yeah but your the big cheese here. Meh. The mod team can and does run without me. They are a great group that doesn't need me to make the big decisions. The only thing that would really change is that no one would pay to maintain the site URL anymore. Don't worry -- it's covered in the will. I've never been much of a phone guy. You and I talk via facebook, and I connect with several other CCF members that way too, but (generally speaking) when I want to be social, I come here. So, if something happens to me, my fiance and anyone else reading the will knows to post here. You're all invited to the funeral too, so long as you pay your own airfare  |

Oh no , does that mean your the “Stan Lee” of the forum ? It's true. The forum was really Roquefort Raider's idea, and I haven't done anything to fight proboards' refusal to give Confessor back his original artwork. Ex Celsius! |

On the handful of forums that I frequent (it's pretty much down to 3 now-- this one and two Gretsch guitar forums), I always make it a point to connect with at least one person in real life if possible. That way, if anything happens, at least someone has a way to make contact offline.
At this place, it's Icctrombone , Crimebuster , lastboy63 (new member that I brought in) and formerly, brutalis. If something happened to me, they would likely be the first to know. |

Don't sell yourself short, my friend. One touches lives every day without knowing it.
When my father passed in 2004, almost 300 people showed up for the funeral service, some of whom I had never met. But several testimonials were heard that day from people who gave their personal accounts of how my father had made a difference in their lives, often through some otherwise insignificant random act of kindness.
I've set this as a goal in my own life-- make a difference, do something kind for others, no matter how seemingly small or insignificant... "Giving" is its own reward.
