No, just no…  I found this costume appealing and quite sensible in a visual sense, as its patterns appeared to mirror waves, light and plant movement from the POV beneath the ocean surface. |

No, just no… I found this costume appealing and quite sensible in a visual sense, as its patterns appeared to mirror waves, light and plant movement from the POV beneath the ocean surface. I like this one as an "alternate jersey" if you will (orange still being the classic). |

I liked the blue Aquaman costume too. Sure beats the "savage Aquaman" look.
As for Zatanna in her mom's outfit, I don't really mind it, maybe because it was the one she had when I started reading the comics. But my favorite is the one that came after.

I like Aquaman's blue costume, but it must be hell to draw it accurately page after page! Knowing you are an actual illustrator (and a very talented one at that), which would be worse...having to draw the blue Aquaman costume in a full story, or the Thing? |

Yeah, me too. I haven't read any of the comics it appeared in - I'm not sure i've read any Aquaman comics, come to think of it - but I like this image and it also makes sense thematically for the character. The only drawback I can imagine is that maybe it would be a nuisance for artists to draw over and over again in a 20-page comic. (edit: sorry RR, didn't see that you had already made the same point).

It's a bit plain and generic, but i kind of like it, and the hairstyle too, though I don't know enough about Zatanna to say whether it suits the character or not. My only quibble would be those "elf-style" booties with the curly toes. I like the traditional fishnet stocking one too - at least when it's drawn by someone who knows how to make it look good, like Gray Morrow. Don't like the other one with the white trim and thigh-boots. |
