(See the Advance Warning before participating) Nominations for Favorite Classic Comic (non-review) Thread1. Please post no more than one nomination for your favorite classic comics thread in our eighth year of the CCF (between April 30th, 2021 at 9:22pm EST and April 30, 2022 at 9:21pm EST). 2. You must explain why you are nominating this thread. This is the blurb that will end up in the CCF Hall of Fame if it wins! 3. Please second no more than one nomination made by another member. You may not second your own nomination. 4. Any thread that has previously won this award should not be nominated again unless it has done something especially different in the past year that is worthy of note. It is a given that past winning threads continue to enrich the community. Let someone else have a turn 5. Any thread receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on May 24th. 6. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on May 9. 7. Absolutely NO negative talk about another thread, its participants, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members and discussions for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. So start your nominating!

I'm definitely nominating dbutler69's Spend Your Allowance Game. Such a fun way to relive comic history; it's introduced me to some new titles and issues I wouldn't have known about otherwise, and it's also encouraged me to make more meaningful use of the invaluable resource that is Mike's Amazing World. Thanks so much for the fun, dbutler69!

Gonna nominate the Weekly Showdown Thread by @jaska
It’s a thoughtful topic, and I like how he made the logical decision to compare apples with apples (Marvel Secret Wars versus DC's Super Powers) than the direction most, myself included, go with, which is apples and oranges (Crisis on Infinite Earths versus Secret Wars). A good start to the thread, and I also nominate it because I think it has, like any good thread should, elicited a lot of thought-provoking discussion.

I'd like to in turn recognize driver1980 and his Consensus in comics thread. One of the things I really enjoy with many of his threads is the ability to throw out an interesting question like this one, but then also add great analogies beyond comic books like to movies in this case, or say wrestling or other subjects that add even more interesting perspective and often generate great further discussion. As you read through this particular thread, it really did spark not only the direct question responses, but lots of fun sidebars that kept going and I think that's the sign of a great thread at the end of the day.

I'm going to go with Spoon's " Heroes with Multiple Titles" I had never really spent much time thinking about why some heroes have multiple books but the nostalgia of the triangle era of Superman was fun to relive.

This is one I've never seen but they look fantastic! Man, I need someone to tell me about all these awesome threads, how do I miss them?
