It's going to be a bit before those are available. The pone pictured at the SDCC booth are mock up prototypes slapped together using "reproductions of the costumes. Production hasn't actually begun on them, and with Mego's track record for turnaround time on production form China since they came back to business, I doubt you will see those until some time in 2023. -M Set to be released in October, according the pre-order link. Would you happen to know if they will be released to general retailers such as Wal-Mart? I'd suspect yes on Walmart, but don't know for sure. But if they are set for Oct but haven't started production yet, I suspect there might be a missed release date in the future. Took the Topps figures 3 months to reach the States after production was complete because of labor shortages and shipping issues from overseas. -M

It is now October--the Mego 50th anniversary figures' release date--has arrived, and since my account is not short by an expected amount, Entertainment Earth does not have them in their warehouse yet, but I am really anxious about the figures' resemblance to the originals.
You know, i'm sure 1,000 YouTubers will post comparison videos, but if the figures look as good as the product photography, I will consider it a win / restoration of my Mego collection.

Sigh. Originally slated for a release in October (at least from Entertainment Earth), now listed as a November release. Adding to the confusion, the Mego Store on amazon has the first wave of figures set for release in December.

Adding to the confusion, the Mego Store on amazon has the first wave of figures set for release in December. Shipping from Asia is still fraught with problems. Delays are frustrating, but there's not a lot producers can do about them. Pegs for them are set up at local Walmarts so they are set to hit shelves as soon as they arrive and are processed at the retail level. -M

Yeah, shipping must be the issue, as I just received an order status message from Entertainment Earth now pushing the expected Mego release date to January of 2023.

Yeah, shipping must be the issue, as I just received an order status message from Entertainment Earth now pushing the expected Mego release date to January of 2023. Welp, they have started arriving on shelves in Walmart, I've seen folks post pics of finding them, and Action Figure Insider found them on shelves today. The first wave is just Batman & Robin (with removable mask/cowl) and Superman. Aquaman and others will be in wave 2. So if you preorder included any of the stuff pushed to wave 2, places like BBTS and Entertainment Earth may delay shipment until aa figures are released. That's on them, though, not Mego. Mego wanted to put Aquaman in Wave 1, but their retail partners like Walmart, who was their biggest customer, only wanted 3 figures in the first wave, so Aquaman got pushed back to wave 2. There's also going to be a 50th Anniversary Star Trek release in a similar vein, and it is supposed to use the original card art rather than the Paramount mandated bland card art that the modern releases have had. -M

Found Batman, Robin and Superman today but only grabbed the dynamic duo:

Everyone has their nostalgia buttons. I try to keep mine in check because I find it to be a bit of a trap to progress. But every now and then something comes along that absolutely rings my nostalgia bell. I’ve been a fan of the new generation of Mego figures and have picked up some. But these guys just instantly take me back to Christmas 1974. I know it was 1974 because my Batman and Robin were the Montgomery Ward exclusive “Secret Identity” with Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, and 74 was the first year for them. I still have my Batcave (my boys played with it) but my Batmobile long since lost its wheel. I never had a Superman (I hate Superman), but I couldn’t pass him up. Too much of 7 year old me being ready for adventure.

I'm so in for a 50th Anniversary Star Trek wave. The original card art is really appealing to me. I hope they are packed in the plastic clam-shell.

Our local Walmart had Batman, Superman and Robin today. I grabbed Supers and Bats (budget this week allowed only 2 pick ups, so choices had to be made). If they still have Robin next week I will pick him up then.

The two Walmart stores I visited both had one Superman and one Robin. Batman--as expected--was sold out.
The good news is that Aquaman arrived in the mail, and to look at it was like stepping back in time to see the figure in that distinctive purple box.

I went to Walmart looking for these figures and struck out. Only certain Walmart's carry the Mego line. Our local Walmart doesn't. The one 35 miles away does. They're also susceptible to folks coming in and buying up the entire supply to try to flip them.

I went to Walmart looking for these figures and struck out. The Walmart near me had them a week ago. While I was there today, I looked and they had sold out except for 1 Robin in a damaged box. Make sure when you check, you look in the collectibles section in Electronics, and not the toy aisles, as that i where Walmart stocks them. -M

I eased my pain by picking this up for 7 bucks.
